Bill straightened, scratching his head. His brown eyes scanned the grass at his feet, as if the earth would quell his quizzical expression. “Vol!” chirped a small critter who appeared at his side: it was a vulpix, reporting to his friend with empty paws.
“No luck?” Bill asked the pokemon, though the answer was expected.
Early that morning, Bill had rolled himself out of bed, as per usual. He had tossed his brown curls into a neat mop on top of his head, and had pulled on one of his many polo shirts, (this one was a light green shade,) over a wife-beater. He threw on some slacks and socks, and so deeming the day uneventful, slipped on a pair of shoes more oriented for relaxation rather than active recreation. This was probably only one in the myriad of mistakes he made.
Bill’s morning routine consisted of descending the stairs in his cozy Cerulean cottage to prepare a mug of coffee in the kitchen, a task he did not neglect. He left the pot to heat up on its own, a perfectly normal happenstance, to sit in front of his computer and negotiate any number of updates. Once he made himself comfortable in his chair, he felt perfectly at ease: it was his haven. Perked upright in his chair, motivated and ready for a day’s work at home, despite his not yet having flooded his system with caffeine. He clacked away at his keyboard and mouse, but an unwelcome noise interrupted the soft symphony--crash. Bill glanced up from his monitor, scanning the air in front of him as if this would help him figure out what had made the ruckus. He knew of one other resident in his small sea cottage--a vulpix, his ‘guard fox’--and accordingly asked into the air, “Vulpix?” The pokemon usually didn’t wake up until well after six in the morning, so Bill hadn’t expected to encounter Vulpix until later. If he was up now, Bill assumed he was trying to get himself some food. So, Bill stood himself up from his computer and calmly made his way towards the kitchen.
It was Eevee. The baby pokemon had somehow managed to topple the coffee maker, pot, and all into a mess of shattered glass and searing hot liquid on the tiled floor. Bill was a tad bit perturbed, but his patience with pokemon kept his amiability. “It’s okay, I’ll clean it up,” he told Eevee, before stooping down and grabbing a towel on the counter as he went. This, apparently, wasn’t what Eevee had wanted to hear.
“Vee! Veeeeee!” the pokemon giggled, jumping her entire weight onto Bill’s head.
“Aah!” Bill gasped, barely managing to keep his face from smashing into hot coffee and menacing glass shards. “Eevee!” He turned just as the pokemon bounded off his head and through the door behind him. Feathers successfully ruffled, Bill chanced a hesitant glance towards the mess, then looked back to the door Eevee had disappeared through. He scrambled to his feet. “Eevee!”
“Veeeeeveeeveeeveeeee eeee!” Eevee sang from on top of Bill’s computer’s keyboard.
“Eevee!” Bill called through shivering, pale lips.
“Veee vee veee!” Eevee danced along the keyboard, taking care to punch her paws as intently onto the keys as possible.
“D-don’t do that--!!!” Bill cried, plunging himself towards the pokemon for the sake of his precious computer.
“Vee!” Eevee giggled, tossing herself onto the floor. Bill immediately stationed himself in front of the computer, eyes crawling in panic over the screen. Nothing seemed to present an direct problem, but the computer wasn’t the only thing he had to worry about. Eevee had, in her mouth, a rather thick, black wire. She could barely hold the thing within her tiny teeth--it was still plugged into the wall beside her, and was attached to the Pokemon Transporter, an essential piece of equipment for the storage system.
“Eevee…” Bill uttered cautiously, holding his hand out in a gesture that said ‘stop.’ He took one, small step towards her, and she yanked the cord out of the wall with a tiny meep. “Eevee!” Bill gasped in horror, and before he knew it, he had lunged himself through the air at the small pokemon. Eevee ran for it, cord in mouth, around the corner and through the opposite kitchen door. “Eeveee!” Bill stammered from flat on his chest, but there wasn’t time to have the wind knocked out of him now--he threw himself to his feet, flinging around the corner and after Eevee.
“Vvv! Vvv!” She tittered through the gigantic wire in her mouth, flashing her tail this way and that as she glided across the kitchen floor, daintily avoiding the hazardous mess. Bill wasn’t so graceful--he hastened after her, and managed to slip right through the coffee.
“OOMPH!” Heavy air rushed through his mouth, and the lack of oxygen constricted his lungs and throat. Thankfully, he had landed ahead of the broken glass, but he was still sprawled in pain from the collision. “Ooooww..” he squeaked, clenching his face and waiting for the sting consuming half his body to pass.
“Vvvf!” Eevee waved her tail, sitting just out of reach. Bill moaned and winced as he reached a shaky, weak hand towards her. “Vvv!” she jumped happily and turned to run away again.
“Ugh…” Bill whimpered in defeat, and let his face fall against the floor.
It hadn’t been long before he had managed to lift his encumbered self. His rickety legs--Bill’s body wasn’t the sort to endure a lot of physical wear--brought himself to follow the wire, which had been abandoned at the open entrance to his cottage. After he returned the plug to its proper place, he set outside to find the eevee. The storage system would take some rebooting to get back online, but it would have to wait, he reluctantly supposed. Vulpix joined him soon after, and so here he was, combing all around the enormous lighthouse that towered above his cottage.
“She could be anywhere by now,” Bill sighed, turning to where he could see Cerulean City in the not-so-distant distance. Inside, he knew the mess of spilled coffee and broken glass still awaited him, as well as the needs of the storage system, and the thousands of people who used it. Vulpix sat at Bill’s feet, dark eyes alert but hopeless.
Bill stood in a small patch of grass just past the lake in front of his house--a small deposit of water from the ocean. The sea breeze tossed his already disordered hair, disarrayed, stray strands curling into the air and falling over his forehead. The salty air was a welcome comfort, though it did nothing to improve the situation. His light green polo felt cool against his skin, and he set his hands on his small hips. “Well… I guess we should start looking in the city.” He sighed hopelessly: if Eevee was in the city, the odds of finding her were significantly against him. “Keep your nose out,” Bill instructed his vulpix, to which Vulpix replied with an affirmative, high-pitched bark. They then began the trek for Cerulean City, which was just a few trees and a bridge away.

As she neared what the humans called Cerulean City, Vesi smiled. The water here was always clean; the citizens never defiled the home of their advocated Pokemon type. As she ran over the salty water, she wondered which place to visit. The inlet itself, or a smaller lake somewhere? It was still that part of the morning when the sun was just barely clearing the horizon, so she didn't have to worry about too many humans being around. Still, the Suicune wanted a closed off body of water today, so she decided on the nearest lake. Closing her eyes, she continued to run as she searched inside herself for the location she wanted. A delicate -ping- sounded in her mind, and her red eyes slipped open again.
Only a few paces away from the coast now, she began to speed up. Drops of water began leaping up in her wake, glimmering in the air before sinking back into their salty origin. The Goddess leaned low to the blue water, then as her paws hit the surface again she pushed off. The faintest ripple emanated from her last "paw prints" on the water, barely acknowledging that she had been there. Vesi soared above the land, her path a gentle curve toward the lake she knew was a short distance in front of her. She landed right at its edge with a small -thump-. Her two tails curled around her body as she looked around for humans, not that she was worried. The scents the wind brought her told her that the building behind the lake was occupied, but the human was out at the moment. She turned her head to look at the path leading to the real city, violet mane rippling. Yes, the human had just gone down that path, accompanied by a small Pokemon. A Vulpix, most likely.
Shaking her thoughts away, she stepped onto the water. The old dance began, her fur almost glowing in the reflected light coming from the lake. It wasn't a purifying ritual, as the brilliant shine darting out of the water suggested. She was simply using some of the salt in the water to create the lights, an exercise that kept her amused as she leaped around the lake.

Cerulean City didn’t harbor too many tall buildings or any leeches on nature--it was mostly a town for homes and houses, nothing too spectacular, save for the gym. During his entire stay in Cerulean, Bill had only left his home to go into town for groceries and other necessities. He had thought about paying a visit to the gym, but simply hadn’t put aside the time. Either way, he knew his way around the main routes of Cerulean, and decided to tackle those first. He would check the Pokemon Center first, and relay the information to them that he was searching for a run-away eevee, and then make his way to the police station. “Pix!”
“Huh?” Bill was startled by his vulpix’s sudden, startled movement; he stopped his paws and twitched his ears, and in the same movement swiftly turned his entire body around. At first, Bill thought he had spotted Eevee, and a hopeful smile teased his features--but as he turned to follow Vulpix’s direction, his face slowly transformed into a look of pure shock. If what his eyes were beholding was accurate--and if what he knew was actually true--then he was in the presence of a bona fide legend. His hands shook at his sides, his jaw had dropped as low as it could go, and his eyelids had peeled back completely. His augmented pupils took in the appearance: yes, it had a blue coat, yes, it had those diamond shapes patterned along its side, yes, it had a white muzzle and stomach, and yes, it had the sweep of purple waves winding smoothly from its back. It was creating a dazzling light show--such majesty could only be the word of a God. It was Suicune.
Beside Bill, Vulpix seemed just as entranced. His mouth was in the shape of an astonished ‘o,’ and he had been rendered completely motionless. Vulpix knew of the water-wielding pokemon before him, and was equally baffled as to why it would make an appearance on their little lake. They were a good distance away from the pokemon--they had already just about reached the bridge, and the trees almost obscured them from view.
“Vulpix,” Bill whispered: he had crouched behind a tree’s trunk, and tried to catch Vulpix’s attention for him to follow. Vulpix bounded beside Bill as quietly as he could. Bill fumbled around in his pockets, excited and nervous all at the same time. “I have to document this somehow..!” he breathed; his voice was hushed with caution. He hardly dared take his eyes off Suicune, but his search for something--a pen, anything--was proving fruitless. He glanced around fervently, mouth twitching, eyes quivering. He looked at Vulpix, who was looking at him with large, confused eyes, and then continued to search aimlessly around the grass and trees. “Darn it…” Bill muttered under his breath, but he still wasn’t about to be discouraged. He started to pluck blades of grass from around him, and placed them in the notches of the bark in front of him, creating his own language as he observed the Suicune and attempted to describe it. Vulpix regarded his friend with a sorry raised eyebrow.

Vesi would have laughed, giggled even, had she not been so focused on her dancing. The dying breeze had brought her just enough scent to let her know where the human and Vulpix were. Behind a tree, to be exact. She narrowed her eyes quizzically as she darted around the lake again. What was he doing, picking grass as he was?
She extended her awareness as she slowed her movements, coming to a slow waltz. As she completely stopped in the middle of the small lake, she found his reason and actually did laugh. Crystal tones rippled daintily from her mind, penetrating the consciousness of creatures around her. She knew the human would "hear" her laughter as well, and the vague reflection on his actions almost pushed her into a fit of giggles again. Apparently he lacked writing utensils and was sticking grass blades onto trees instead. She admired his creativity, but decided the man would be happier with real observation tools. As such, she let the light tension covering the lake disappear for a split second, the water surface absorbing her body as she dove into the small lake. Perhaps the human would run for a pencil while she swam underwater.
Gliding through the clear, albeit salty, water, she quickly completed a few laps around the limited space allotted to her. Granted, the lake was small, but she liked it. No waves, no trees blocking the sunlight, no other Pokemon to share with. Those were her preferences today, not that she was a stingy Goddess. She just liked to take a break from the multiple telepathic connections she maintained every time she traveled to the big lakes, the ones harboring various water Pokemon. A few more minutes, the Suicune thought, and the human should have gotten his materials. She's surface in a while, then.

Seeing the Suicune in person was remarkable; Bill could hardly believe he was lucky enough to indulge such an experience in his lifetime. Of all the studies done on Suicune, of all the texts and supposed evidence gathered of Suicune’s existence and powers, nothing was enough to prepare for this. Suicune’s movements were a magic act in and of themselves. She danced on water, despite the seeming impossibility of it all. She created a show of lights and color, all from her happy paws and the lake beneath her. There was too much to describe, and fumbling with blades of grass would not do the trick. Bill struggled with his attempts to manipulate his makeshift tools, and his excited fingers weren’t much help. He glanced back at the majestic creature, only to find that the Suicune seemed to have noticed him and his vulpix--and she was laughing. Her mouth didn’t move, and it wasn’t any sort of animal noise--it was a sing-song type of voice, perfectly coherent in every way, and definitely an expression of amusement. How Bill was so certain of this, he wasn’t sure, but he supposed it had something to do with Suicune’s legendary power. Could she speak through telepathy? Bill quickly returned to his grass and bark, never deterred from his task of recording all he could about pokemon.
Vulpix, meanwhile, seemed just as astonished as Bill, just as entranced by Suicune’s dazzling show. He, however, was not as crazy obsessed as his friend was. While Vulpix admired Suicune’s dance, he felt almost embarrassed about Bill’s antics. Suicune’s laugh made him even more so, but at the same time, filled him with a pleasant, dreamy demeanor. He sighed, and continued watching her until she disappeared into the lake. “Vol?” He meeped, sad to see her go.
“Huh?” Bill quickly looked around the tree at Vulpix’s cry: the Suicune was gone! Bill gasped and hesitated before stumbling to his feet, ditching the blades of grass in his hands and picking up his pace towards the lake. Suicune couldn’t have disappeared! Or, at least, Bill certainly hoped she hadn’t! He hadn’t finished observing every curve of her body, every incredible movement she made with the greatest of ease. Vulpix followed him, and they both looked into the water in search of her.

Another faint laugh rang gently through the air as she propelled herself toward the surface. Breaching the water, she rose out of the water again to regard the duo with a raised eyebrow. The water streamed off of her fur, gliding effortlessly off of her body with barely any dampness left as it rejoined the lake. Tilting her head, she addressed the man with her thoughts.
"Not running for a pen?"
She let a grin suffuse itself into the question, revealing the light teasing in it. Her crimson eyes flickered sideways to the tree the human had been behind, glancing over the blades of grass jammed into the bark there. She smiled before slapping at the lake surface lightly with her tails, careful to avoid the Vulpix with her shots. The water flew onto the shore, landing by the man's feet and remaining instead of soaking into the ground. The Goddess took a fleeting glimpse at his thoughts-just the smallest contact-and used his memories as a sort of code to translate the grass blades into something coherent. The water spread out into a myriad of lines and curves, forming the words he had been encrypting onto his tree trunk.
Vesi stepped forward, walking delicately over the water toward the two. She stopped in front of the Vulpix, leaning down so she was eye level with the small fox. She projected a message into the Pokemon's mind alone,
"He is a good human. You are fortunate to be with him, Vulpix."
Thus said, she rose to look at the human himself, awaiting a reaction or spoken message.

With each drop of water that fell from the Suicune, a chime of sweetness danced in Bill’s ears. He felt like a child in a dream. The magnificent embodiment of oceans and waterfalls filled his senses, and everything around him felt slow and meaningless when he stood within reach of a legendary pokemon. His breath had caught in his throat and his face had captured the pink from the sun’s bright spectrum. The Suicune had chosen him, of all people, to appear before, and for the moment, there were no troubles in the world, nothing at all, just the gentle music that softly emanated from the graceful, flowing creature. “Ah!” Bill stuttered almost reticently when a sweet voice captivated all processes of his mind. He became nervous, in the presence of such a creature of such power, and the voice only further constricted his lungs. He forced himself to calm down, and in a daze, registered what the pokemon had said. “P-pen…?” he stumbled on his words, still utterly entranced by what was happening. He had half a mind to pinch himself to make sure he was awake, but that was silly. Bill watched Suicune’s gaze as her knowing eyes glided over Bill’s shoulder. He hesitantly turned to where she looked, and apprehension hovered over his features. “H-heh…” he mumbled, realizing what the Suicune had meant. As the seconds passed, he began to feel more at ease, and less immobilized. He muttered a sigh of surprise once the Suicune had directed water at his feet, which were too stiff to move out of the way of any potential fly-away droplets, but there were none. The water was contained perfectly, and soon molded seemingly of its own accord into the observations Bill had hopelessly rendered on the tree behind him. “A-ah…” He was utterly hopeless. As intelligent as he was, he still had his troublesome moments. He glanced up at Suicune, unsure of what to do. “Sh-shall I..?” He was surprised that Suicune would engage in such interaction, and now that he had organized his thoughts enough to think clearly, more urges to document the experience somehow itched at his fingertips. Still, he was terribly frightened that the incredible pokemon would leave as soon as he dashed through the door to grab a camera (as that was what he decided he wanted to retrieve most.)
Vulpix hummed an expression of pure bliss as Suicune acknowledged him. Her beauty had captured his attention, and he blushed as much as a fox pokemon could blush through red fur. He swayed forward as she brought her face to his level, and a dopy smile was splayed across his features. He nodded at her statement, completely entranced. Bill watched his pokemon with slight amusement, though he was as entranced as the vulpix was.

"Go ahead."
Vesi stepped onto land by Vulpix, a distance away from the watery words set into the dirt. She relaxed, settling gracefully onto her side. She put her head on her paws, the crest on her head shimmering in the light as she did so. Closing her eyes, she set the human free to get what he wished without the feeling of being watched. The only indicator of her consciousness was her left tail, which curled around her legs to twitch playfully at Vulpix. The marbled white tail was about two or three inches wide and thin as a streamer. Flickering by the fox's paws, it seemed to have a mind of its own as it danced around him before withdrawing to the Suicune's side.
The sounds of the water lapping against the shore behind her lulled her into a peaceful state of mind, and she started thinking about her latest travels. Her recent journeys over the land had been quite serene, without any seriously polluted bodies of water to trouble her. She had even found a small pocket of real clean water underground. She'd had to bolt through several miles of caves and tunnels before reaching it, but it had been heaven. She smiled, lifting one eyelid to glance at the Vulpix with a crimson eye. She supposed that the pure water she had visited a few days ago was the cause of her amiable interaction with the human today. Once she'd danced on water that was already beyond pure, not even her fellow Gods could keep her from being interminably happy. A light purring floated out of her, barely audible yet vibrating gently in the background. Her sides rose and fell regularly with the sound, the diamonds running along them rippling with the movement.

Bill smiled almost dutifully up at Suicune, feeling quite grateful that the pokemon would be so generous. He hoped she wouldn’t mind being video-taped--it was the only way Bill would be able to capture as much of her magnificence as possible. He hesitated with excitement, making for the cottage, then stopping to glance at Vulpix, who had his eyes glued to the Suicune. Bill then continued towards the house, too afraid to look back in case the pokemon had decided to disappear. He would rather put off his disappointment, but that feeling felt so long gone, so far away, there was little to no worry of that.
As Bill returned to the house, Vulpix watched Suicune in a dazed awe. His ears drooped at the sides of his head, and the refreshing breeze stimulated by Suicune’s movement perked the thick curls of orange hair on his cranium. She was beautiful as she rested, and Vulpix couldn’t help but wonder how she could be so at ease. He meeped in surprise as Suicune’s tail attended him, and he emitted a cry of mirth at the play. He pawed in delight at her tail, affectionately brushing his fur against hers. “Vulpix,” he chirped happily. A more earnest look dawned his animal features as the Suicune opened an eye and smiled at him. He stared back, his own hopelessly romantic notions causing him to believe she might feel more than platonic affection for him. She purred, and he sighed while he sat and watched her, totally immersed in the fantasy.
Inside the cottage, Bill scrambled as fast as he could for a camera. He tore through the first room and was painfully reminded of the storage system that needed attending to, and of Eevee. Still undaunted, Bill swept through the kitchen after searching the other rooms of the first floor, and was thus presented with the mess of coffee and glass. “Eee,” he uttered reluctantly, then turned his back and searched upstairs. “Ah!” He found the camera on his dresser, then clambered down the staircase as fast as his legs would take him. He carefully opened the front door, and was relieved to see the Suicune was still there. He hurried outside, clutching his camera. With a hesitant smile, Bill held up the device and asked, “Would you… mind…?” He nodded towards the camera, hoping she wouldn’t be startled by such a gesture, or that any other fearful reaction might come.

She shook her head lightly and returned to watching Vulpix sway back and forth, an expression of cloudy bliss covering his face. The little fox had drawn closer while batting at her tail and was right by her, little orange tails curled gently around his body. Vesi repositioned her forepaws, crossing the right over the left to keep her circulation going. It wouldn't be very Goddess-like to trip right into the lake later. As she moved her right tail swerved around to join the left, both of them splaying out along the Vulpix so he was between her and the two glimmering tails.
The device the human held seemed to be a camera, a human vision-capturing machine. Whether it produced moving memories or still ones, as they were prone to do, she wasn't sure, but she wasn't worried about being "caught" in memory. After all, the occasional sighting and reports of her appearance kept her role as a Goddess alive. As long as no Trainers neared her with Pokeballs and whatnot, she was content to lay by the lake, which had by now calmed itself into a flat surface again. This man was one of the "good" humans, the ones who lived with nature. They were rare nowadays, but it was a relief and a welcome sight to find them. Realizing that she was thinking of them like they thought of her, she lifted the corner of her mouth in another small grin. This deity thing worked both ways.

Bill’s grin widened at Suicune’s approval. He eagerly fumbled with his camera, turning it on and flipping out the LSD panel. “Thank you…” he whispered in a barely audible voice as he held the camera up to his eye and pushed the red record button.
“Voool…” Vulpix sighed, bashfully watching as Suicune surrounded him with her tails. He inched closer to her and was daring enough to rub his cheek gently against hers. “Vulpix,” he uttered softly with glee.
“Wow…” Bill couldn’t help but verbalize his amazement. The pokemon’s majesty was captured better than he had hoped on tape. His focus was entirely on the Suicune. He silently hoped she would move at some point, aside from her lovely tails. If he could get footage of that dance, well, he would be able to die happily. As he watched Suicune, his attentions soon included his own vulpix. “Huh..?” he muttered, dropping the camera slightly from his face and looking at the real Vulpix in front of him. He seemed to be quite enamored by the legendary pokemon. Bill smiled, and an eyebrow curved above one of his brown eyes. What pokemon wouldn’t fall in love with Suicune? Bill wondered contentedly, then looked back down at his camera. This was why he had become a Pokemon Researcher, and was a self-proclaimed Pokemaniac. He could stand here all day and observe the Suicune. As these thoughts came to him, though, another poked gently at him. A forlorn expression slowly dawned his brow, and his camera lowered just as slowly from his face. Eevee. He couldn’t do this all day, because he had a pokemon to find. He glanced up at Suicune and Vulpix, sorry to know that he would have to cut the visit short, but he couldn’t possibly leave Eevee to whatever trouble she might get into. He stepped forward with feet that didn’t want to step forward, and sighed, “Suicune?” It felt odd to address the pokemon this way, but at the same time, it came to his lips in a perfectly natural tone. “I have to go. You see, my eevee… She ran off.” He wasn’t sure if the pokemon would stay and bask by his lake all day or not, but he wasn’t about to make her do anything. Bill smiled, though it was obvious he was sorry to admit what he had to do.

"Doom."Her Pokemon barked in assent, padding along beside the redhead as the pair plunged into the busy city. In all honesty, Flannery had no idea where she was going, and didn't even think to check the map. Donia glared at most of the people surrounding them, though people were giving them a fairly wide berth. Flannery was revelling in the fact she was a stranger, which seemed like a strange thing to do. It was just so surreal; hardly anybody knew who she was. There was nobody asking about her Grandpa's poetry, or how her mother was. They just walked past her, occasionally smiling or giving a wary glance towards the hound at her side. To Flannery, this was all new and very exciting. She grinned in delight as she practically danced down the street. She was so thrilled with it all, she wasn't really paying attention to where her feet were taking her. Which probabbly explained why she ended up back where she'd started. Flannery blinked at the familiarty of her surroundings, and then her lower lip jutted out in a pout. She looked around and then shrugged, spinning on her heel and was about to take her first steps back into the city when- "Vee! Eevee!"Huh?" Flannery looked down in confusion, her strange eyes alighting on the little fox pokemon with some suprise. Then she smiled, it really was very cute, looking up at her with those big eyes. Without really thinking, Flannery's hand moved to an empty Pokeball, but a sharp bark from Donia made her hesitate. The Houndoom padded closer, lowered her head to the pokemon and sniffed the fluffy critter for a minute. She smelt of humans and... Coffee? Strange. Donia yipped softly at Flannery, and looked pointedly past Evee towards the Cape and the Lighthouse. Flannery looked confused for a moment, and then it sunk in. "Oh, you allready have a trainer! You must me lost, huh? Well, then cutie, let's get you home!" Flannery crouched down and scooped up the Pokemon, giggling slightly as the Pokemon batted at one of her spikey locks. Donia just growled softly, slightly irked by the new Pokemon's familairty with her trainer. However, she lowered her nose to the ground and began to retrace the Eevee's steps, leading her owner along the cape. The pattern was random, and zig-zagged, leading through bushes and occasionally going around in circle. The Eevee clearly had no purpose when she was running around. Another bark emmited from the Pokemon when she latched onto the human scent that had been clinging to the Eevee's fur. Her pace increased as the scent grew fresher, mixing in with the scent of water and... Donia froze, a growl rumbling low in her throat. Just past those tree's was a human, a Vulpix, a whole load of water and... Her. The Houndoom had never met the Water Godess, but her scent was so unique it could only be her. A shiver ran down the fire-hounds spine. She had a great load of respect for the Godess, and a healthy dose of fear too. Water and fire did not mix well afterall. However, Flannery could hear the sounds of speaking and skipped forward confidently. Donia whined softly, and then hurried after the redhead, the desire to keep Flannery safe outweighing the the fear she felt. Flannery bounded into the clearing with a grin, and Eevee chirped at the sight of her trainer. Flannery looked down at the Eevee and grinned before glancing at the brunette sat a few metre's away. "Hi there! I found this Eevee, is she yours? I think she was lost, but she certianly seems pleased to see you so-" Flannery suddenly became aware of the godess laying in the grass and the words died in her throat. Her impossible eyes widened and she stared at the fluid blue form in amazment. Donia pressed herself against Flannery's legs, and the trainers hand tangled itself in the dark fur as she tried to comprehend the situation. She sturggled for a moment, blinking rapidly as she tried to shape some words that made anysense. She failed. "Oh. Wow." Was the best she could come up with, as she stared in wonderment at Suicune, before turning her gaze slowly to Bill, her gaze almost imploring as her head begged somebody to make sense of it all. The Lavaridge native was a little out of her depth here... [/ul]

Vesi pressed lightly back with her own cheek at Vulpix, her purr constant, then faced the human again. She thought over his words, retracing her path earlier that morning. She'd run over the ocean, leaped over the coast, landed here...and scented the remains of the wind. She skipped through her memory fleetingly, picking out the three odors she had found before dancing. The human, the Vulpix, and a smaller pokemon, surely the Eevee. She hadn't seen or heard the little pokemon nearby, though...It seemed the human would have to go. She was about to reply to his heartbroken announcement when a rustling behind her caught her attention.
She turned her head slightly, her mane shifting to accommodate the motion. She regarded the person who had just entered the scene with one dark red eye, gently appraising the girl and the two pokemon with her. The area around her eyes relaxed as they softened, and she blinked serenely before addressing the man again.
"I believe that is your Eevee, young man."
Although the statement was for one human, she didn't bother to limit the telepathy to his mind alone. As such the message reverberated through the air unchecked, undulating toward all surrounding, conscious life forms. She smiled gently at the Houndoom by the girl's side. If she wasn't mistaken, that pair was from Lavaridge, a fire-centered town. She would have to mention this meeting to Entei later. It was brave of the horned pokemon to venture down here with her trainer, where water appeared around almost every corner. Of course, Vesi would not attack her for simply being of the other type. After all, opposites attract. The fact was proven stronger by the Vulpix curled contentedly at her neck.

Bill’s attention was drawn from the Suicune--as surprising as that was-- to the unexpected visitor. His face lit up once he had registered the curly brown face of the Eevee he had lost. “There you are!” he exclaimed, though his feet didn’t want to move, and his hands certainly didn’t want to abandon the camera holding such precious footage, and even more potential.
“Vee!” Eevee chirped in return. Although she had wandered far from her home, (and quite fearlessly, at that,) among other catastrophic things she had caused that morning, the eevee felt as if she had caused no trouble at all. Her naivety shrouded any acknowledgement of the Suicune--after all, everything was about her--and she immediately bounded from the girl’s arms to greet the face she had grown so familiar towards. “Vee! Vee!” she called, waving her busy tail ten times per paw-step through the grass towards Bill. She soon realized he wasn’t focused on her, and was rendered quite speechless for a moment!
Once the initial rapture of Eevee’s safe return had faded, (and this happened quickly,) Bill realized the extremity of the situation. Here he was, camera in hand, in the company of an incredible Legendary Pokemon. He wondered how it might look to the girl trainer--who he had just now truly observed--and felt sorry for any confusion or bafflement she might experience. He seemed to have forgotten the hysterics he had been thrown into when he had been introduced to the Suicune’s very real presence. “Ehh…” he muttered almost reticently, hesitantly glancing at Suicune, then back towards the newcomer. He wondered briefly what had brought a girl like her to his little corner of Cerulean. She certainly didn’t look like the type to be interested in the sorts of things he was interested in, but then again, he couldn’t possibly judge by appearance--he received quite a variety of visitors, though most of whom were acquainted with one of the renowned professors in Kanto, and thus well-known, at least to Bill. This girl didn’t peak any memory in his mind, however--he had received no notice of a girl with red hair that exploded on top of her very head, or had a houndoom for a pokemon partner.
“Eevee!” The small, brown-and-cream pokemon huffed, setting herself stubbornly at Bill’s feet. She had done so much today, she deserved attention, too! Hadn’t her friend missed her? Sadly, it didn’t seem so! He was all absorbed with the trainer, and the large blue pokemon, and with Vulpix, but not her!
“Uhh,” Bill stammered just before Suicune’s voice erupted within his mind. He glanced towards her, still not completely accustomed to the pokemon’s actual being, but refrained himself from expressing any sort of exaggerated surprise. “Ah, yes,” he still couldn’t shove the nerves from his thin lips, “Thank you for bringing Eevee back… eh… What’s your name…?” Bill couldn’t help but feel a little flustered, and the color of tomatoes found his round cheeks. “Oh, uh,” he laughed hesitantly, “this is… Suicune…” he wasn’t sure how odd, or unbelievable, that would sound. He observed the girl with timid apprehension.
Vulpix, meanwhile, was perfectly content against Suicune. He nuzzled his body against her shoulder, and watched the others with vague amusement. His focus was all on Suicune; he barely registered a single thing that transpired between the others.

I'm babbling again, aren't I? Sorry! Flannery rubbed the back of her neck and giggled nervously. She had a habit of talking a lot when she was in odd situations, and this definatley classed as 'odd'. If it was Entei, maybe she'd have more of a grip on herself. He would be easier for her to comprehend, he was the founder of everything she knew; Fire and Volcano's. Suicine was so new to her, a precious gem she couldn't quite get a hold of. She was ever changing, ever moving like the water she danced on. When it came to the Water Goddess... Flannery was out of her element. She turned her red eyes towards the seemingly placid creature, and felt the overwhelming desire to curtsey or something like that. Anything to show her respect, but she couldn't think clearly. "It's an honour to meet you, Suicine. Really it is!"She still felt very nervous to be in the presence of such a powerful being, and did what she always did when nervous or scared. She sought physical contact. Without really thinking about what she was doing, or the effect of her actions, she hurried over to where Bill stood, drawing presence from the human proximity. She gripped his arm tightly, shifting so she was stood just a little behind the male, peering at the scene over his shoulder. Donia hesitated for a moment, and then bounded over to stand beside Flannery once more. [/ul]
