Vesi avoided sudden movement as the Houndoom leaped after her trainer, the girl having run over to the man's side. She did not fear the fire Pokemon, but it would spoil her mood to battle this morning. Besides, the obvious type disadvantages involved would make her feel awful for at least a month or so. She flicked her tail lightly toward the horned canine, her thoughts accompanying the movement.
"At ease....Donia, is it? I have no desire for battle. The fact that we are opposites can be easily put aside, can't it?"
She tilted her head a little as the words headed for the Houndoom's mind only, waiting for a hopefully amiable reception. As she watched Donia, movement to her right caught her attention. She smiled at the little Eevee, charmed by her quick, watch-me actions. A few drops of water flung themselves out of the lake to land at the little brown Pokemon's paws, rolling back and forth enticingly before darting away. The droplets refused to become dirty as they flowed over the ground, staying as little clear orbs of untainted liquid that sparkled in the sun.
The red-haired girl's speech-cut-short made the Goddess smile again. She had heard of this person from Entei, hadn't she? She really had to talk to her brother of this. The girl seemed so exuberant that Vesi didn't want to think about the volcano near Flannery's home. If it erupted, the little blotch of human life that existed there could be wiped out. The concept and image made her ears tilt back a little, but such a little movement it was that it was barely seen. Keeping her mind in the present, she directed her gaze into the camera the man held. Eye contact was a given for the humans she found who were friendly to the environment.

Flannery. That was the red-head’s name, who was all but fiery. She seemed to have a lot to say, and was definitely oriented towards fire pokemon. He hadn’t recognized her, but somehow, she seemed familiar.
Bill relaxed once the girl had visibly accepted the fact that it was really the Water Goddess, Suicune. He smiled in an almost embarrassed sort of way on her behalf, and momentarily forgot about the camera in his hands. And then, suddenly, he was aware of every shivering fiber on his person. His skin tingled beneath his light green polo shirt, and the fabric of his pants pricked at his legs; his soft brown hair seemed to curl even more so than usual, and the pale skin of his face took on a gentle pink color. Flannery had gripped his arm with her own warm hands, and all this was quite unexpected and quite suddenly very familiar.
In his initial reaction to the girl’s abrupt need for physical contact, Bill had felt very flustered. It was only for a split second or less than, but he had felt it, and it reminded him very much of how he had felt during a recent, casual chat online. He normally wasn’t that prone to feeling so uncomfortable, and that left only one other option. And now he could recall why the red-head had seemed so familiar.
“Fl-Flannery…?” Bill said in the way one would address a person that was clinging steadfastly to one’s arm. He still didn’t dare completely admit that the girl was, in fact, her: that would mean admitting to the stroke of red that threatened to surface on his face. The girl he had met on his computer had been crazy, (much like this girl was turning out to be,) and was prone to all sorts of uncomfortable things. She was amiable and nice, and Bill supposed he liked her, but he wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about having her here. No, of course he welcomed her--he had invited her to share her pokemon, after all! And something about him was very happy she had shown up, even if it was just to deliver Eevee, for which Bill was already grateful. He still couldn’t help his uneasiness. He was quite used to sensible, quiet company, pokemon company, or no company at all. Not boisterous and energetic company--although the eevee at his feet had been a recent exception.
Aforementioned eevee was soon distracted from her plight by the curious crystals of water jumping about at her paws. “Ve?” she squeaked softly under her breath, twitching an ear at the odd behavior--for water did not normally jump around like that, especially on the ground, certainly not! Then again, Eevee was quite new to the world and there were a lot of things she didn’t know; perhaps this was one of them. Normal or not, it was quite a show, and Eevee found herself completely captivated. Her tail waved fleetingly against the earth behind her.

Donia wasn't sure how she felt about the sudden and undeniable intrustion into her mind. One the one hand, Donia didn't like suddenly being out of control when she'd fought so hard to remain controlled for so long, but on the other hand it was Suicune. The fact she was in her presence was a clossal thing, and Donia should feel extraodinarily lucky. The water godess could annihilate Donia with the casual flick of her tail, yet she simply lounged on the grass and was very peaceful. There was no threat implied, but Donia couldn't help but feel on edge. She decided it was due to the proximity of so much water, and the fact that Falnnery was throwing herself on to random strangers.... Again! Donia didn't trust easily, unlike her trainer, and couldn't see how on earth the redhead could place herself in the hands of this unkown male so calmly. Well, calmly wasn't the right term, but even so... Donia's furstration at the entire, messed up scenario caused her to snort out a tiny plume of fire.
"Of course Suicune, forive my rudeness."
Donia wasn't sure exactly how the telepathic communication worked, but she hoped her message would reach the godess. Sighing, Donia flopped to the grass, resting her maw on her now folded paws.
Flannery was still very much in over her head, but the fact she'd now found somebody to cling to was helping her to catch her thoughts and make some semblence of this whole mess. As per usual, Flannery was oblivious to any discomfort her desire for contact was causing. She failed to notice the blush creeping across Bill's cheeks. She was only aware of the fact that he was somebody to cling to, somebody to hide behind untill she felt brave enough to stand by herself. Sometimes she'd like to think she was brave, but when she was scared... It was just so... Scary! Without thinking too much about, Flannery tightened her grip slighlty, snuggling her frame ever so slightly closer.
"Yup, Flannery. That's me, didn't I say so? I thought I did...? Why, should I know you? I don't know, I'm not really all that good with names and faces, but that's just becuase I was dropped on my head when I was a baby. Well that's what my dad says sometimes, but only when mum's not around becuase she threatened him with a frypan when he said it infront of her..."
Flannery giggled slighlty at the memory of her mother brandishing a soapy frying pan and swearing loudly in spanish while her father held up his hands in mock surrender. Then her mind regained some focus and she diverted her attention to the matter at hand, or rather the matter se was wrapped around. She angled her head, peering up at the male. Now that she thought about it, there was something familiar about him but she couldn't quite place his face. Though the stammer...
"Hmm. I'm sure I should know you from somewhere... What did you say your name was again?"
Flannery chirped, resting her chin on Bill's shoulder and smiling in a nervous manner over at Suicune, who she suddenly been reminded of. Yep, the water godess was still very beautiful, and very imposing in a calm, serene manner. Still, imposing wasn't good around Flannery, hence the fact she was glued to Bill.

The few drops of water swirled together into one orb, just about the size of one of Eevee's paws. It bounced up toward the little Pokemon, then began zigzagging away, tempting the little brown creature with a game of catch-me. The dewy plaything emitted a purple-white shine, rolling around in the dirt.
Vesi dipped her head to Donia in acknowledgment of the Houndoom's words, then tilted her head gently as she listened to Bill and Flannery converse. She was about to close her eyes and settle into a doze when a snarling ping erupted in the back of her mind. She reflexively jerked her head to the side to shake the feeling off, a flash of irritated grief entering her crimson eyes for a split second. Her tails lifted a little from the ground as well, waving around and twisting gently around each other to land as a double helix of iridescent marbled white. The Goddess's gaze traveled back to the Vulpix snuggled up to her side, then around the beings arrayed in front of her. She didn't want to leave, but a river a few cities away was being stopped up with debris... Peace was all too fleeting. She folded her paws, beginning to fidget as the tapping resumed in her head. She could stay for a little longer...just a few more minutes wouldn't hurt...

The pressure of warm skin against his own sent tickling nerves up Bill’s arm. He certainly wasn’t used to this at all. When was the last time he had a girl on his… arm? Never! Bill had never been the sort that was really interested in that sort of… thing. Computers and Pokemon were his life, not… that. He looked awkwardly at the air in front of him; as opposed to looking at Flannery, who’s face was barely inches from his own burning cheeks at this point.
So, Flannery didn’t recall him--his face, anyway. He had registered that much from her bouncy chatter. And why should she? They hadn’t even seen each other, really, aside from the little pictures that accompanied their instant messages. Of course, Bill would never dream of lying about who he was, even if it would save him from acknowledging that awkward conversation they had held on the computer earlier--the one that had been cut short thanks to the eevee bouncing around at his feet. He had a brief hope that she wouldn’t think him rude for abandoning their less-than-casual conversation.
“Ah, Bill.” he replied, deciding to occupy his brown eyes with the Suicune dozing by the water. He was about to (politely) ask her to remove herself from his arm, but then she settled her head on his shoulder and that all but shattered his current thoughts, leaving only crimped, nervous lips in their wake. His camcorder hung forgotten in his hands, although Suicune certainly wasn’t.
“Ve!”
The augmented drop of water taunted Eevee, her reflection curved and distorted within its clear self. She emitted a high-pitched growl and crouched low while whipping her tail with a fierce playfulness behind her. She jumped at it, and as her paws hit the ground, several gashes cracked through the ground. Massive tremors began to seize the earth around Eevee and the others. “Ve! Ve!” Eevee called, not sure whether to be proud of her own hidden strength or not. She began to shake violently along with the ground, and more fractures broke through and deepened. She was soon surrounded by broken land, and began to cry out her fright and confusion. She threw back her head and cried and cried and cried, squeezing her eyes shut and stiffening her limbs.
“What’s happening?!” Bill gasped as the ground rumbled beneath him. He stumbled backwards as the fissures reached him, but his attention was thrown to Eevee. Suddenly, the ground completely disintegrated beneath her. Bill lunged forward, but then--
“GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!”
An enormous roar that shook the air erupted from the golem crashing through the ground. Fierce notches littered his gigantic, hard body, and his small, beady eyes rolled in anger. Water streamed from his form and his teeth and claws gnashed violently. As he broke through the surface, Eevee went flying into the air above him, crying and yelping her fear.

The scream that errupted from Flannery had Donia on her paws within a split second, allready brewing the fire she'd be more than happy to spew out all over this curly headed male at a moments notice. Possibly less. However, even as she narrowed her eyes, she realised that Bill wasn't attacking Flannery, it was more the other way around. Recognition had illuminated Flannery's already bright eyes and she was staring at Bill in wide eyed amazement, a huge grin on her face. She was practically radiating her delight, but then channelled it into pure energy. She released her grip on the computer genius's arm, but he only had a second's reprieve before she'd thrown her arms around him a second time, pressing her frame against his as she enveloped her 'number one fan' into the promised hug, a grin still on her face. "Ohmigawd! It's you! YOU'RE BILL! I'm Flannery, duh, I've allready said that, right? But you remember, don't you? Of course you do, you're my number one fan! I mean, wow, how... WOW! This is like so... So... Huh?Her words had started full of the energy that had her bouncing around the place like a child on sugar, but the excitement the teenager had felt was begining to fade as she became aware of something strange. The ground... Something wasn't right... It was moving? Shaking! Panic flooded her system as she desperatley tried to recall what you did in a situation like this. Her grip on Bill slackened, as she glanced around in nervous fear, trying to summon a grip on the situation only to have it crumble between her fingers. "D-Donia?"Donia growled, pressing herself against Flannery's leg ; she refused to be seperated from her trainer when the ground was falling apart. Not going to happen. Flannery tangled one hand in the Pokemon's fur, the other resting on Bill's shoulder as she gained some reassurance from his presence. "What do we do?? Bill...? Bill!"Suddenly the man had gone, and her hand was resting on empty air. Flannery twirled on the spot in time to see him lunge towards his Pokemon, trying to stop her from falling. He wasn't fast enough, she was going to fall- The roar suddenly rebounded through her skull, and Flannery found herself face to face with a huge, very angry looking Golem. Her blood red eyes widened as she locked them onto this spectacle, the cries of Eevee ringing in with the awful bellow. Her jaw dropped in stunned suprise, and she uttered the only word she could think of; "Mierda."Shit indeed. For a moment, the redhead stood frozen, dumbly trying to comprehend this awful situation, while Donia snarled violently beside her, a not so subtle threat towards the new threat that had just arrived. Donia decided this was the last time she ever let her trainer come to Cerulean City. All the water, wayward Eevee's godesses and now this. It was too dangerous. "Doooooom."She growled softly, hackles rasied as she braced herself to protect her trainer, who didn't seem to be in any hurry to move. She just stared blankly ahead of her, forzen by suprise. For the second time, Donia wished that Fang was here, becuase he'd be able to cope with all of this. However, at the sound of her Pokemon, something inside the female clicked into place. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she saw the scene with new eyes. She was a Gym Leader goddamn it, and this Golem was not going to beat her. "Bad move buddy, no big, dumb, ugly rock hurts my Bill's pokemon and get's away with it!."She shouted the words at the Pokemon in question, forcing herself to stay in place rather than sprint to Bill and drag him away from the danger like she'd promised him she'd once do. She'd just... Destroy the danger and then drag him away. Yeah... Either way, she'd keep him safe. A new sense of determination rose within the redhead, as she deftly reached for a Pokeball on her belt, trusting her instincts as she hurled the sphere into the air, unleashing the creature within. The flash of light faded from the feild to reveal the flaming horse stood proudly on the terrain. Meesha snorted once, and tossed her firey mane before fixing the Golem with a haughy glare, her firey apendges gorwing slightly as she braced herself for battle. "Meesha! Work on a Solarbeam to blast this thing to rubble! Donia, hit him with a Shadowball to keep him busy for a while! "Flannery shouted out her commands with undeniable authority which he Pokemon didn't nothing to question. Meesha raised her horned head to the sky, and began to absorb the energy, while Donia opened her jaws wide and sent a blob of dark energy hurtling towards the 'big, dumb, ugly rock', as her trainer had put it. Flannery meanwhile, couldn't help but scan the area for Bill, making sure he was okay...[/ul]

Flannery's reaction pricked the Goddess back into the current world, and she raised her head to watch the Gym Leader's actions with more than a hint of amusement in her eyes. It was appropriate that Donia had sprung up to defend her Trainer from what had made the girl scream, but apparently the two humans were already acquainted. She smiled as the red-haired girl's constant, buoyant words flew out into the air, charged with enthusiasm. Then Suicune's eyes traveled down to the source of a shrill squeaking, a few feet in front of her. It seemed Eevee had discovered the water droplets, but the dew was slipping away into a tiny fracture in the ground. The brown Pokemon seemed nervous, calling her hesitation to her owner a few times before the dirt under her started buckling into fragments that tossed around wildly. Eevee's calls registered as being panicky and frightened in Vesi's ears, making her half rise to her paws.
The dull throbbing in Vesi's mind was easily pushed aside as the ground in front of her splintered and crackled into nothing under Eevee, admitting a Golem into the scene. Instantly, her two tails twined away from each other and wrapped firmly around Bill's Vulpix. Once she had enough of a grip, Suicune stood fluidly to leap over the massive boulder-like Pokemon. Landing by Flannery, she gently pulled her tails free from Vulpix's form, then turned to watch Donia launch an attack at the Golem. She couldn't see the little Eevee from here, and her owner had jumped forward into the fray...
She shifted her forepaws and lifted her lip a little, the scent of battle permeating her senses. Her mane rippled a she watched the unfolding struggle, a slight chill enfolding the area around her head and neck. Little spots of ice began to form around her maw, connecting with each other as she drew up the energy for an attack. Vesi stayed in a cautious crouch, storing only half the power needed for a full attack. It was unlikely that her help would be needed, but the Golem was probably standing right on top of Eevee and/or Bill. If that was the case, she'd jump in. As she thought, the steaming crystals at her mouth receded a little to gather on her seldom-revealed fangs. The only mark of her preparation was a glimmer of refracted light that shone through the white fur on her lower jaw.
Behind the Golem, the lake's surface began to move according to the nearby Goddess's agitation. The best way to describe it would be to say that it rocked back and forth, the water moving only millimeters at a time as it slid from bank to bank. The adrenaline building up bit by bit in the Suicune leaked into the clear water, making it sweep up over its shore and lap at the offending Pokemon's clawed feet a few times before drawing back. Vesi's tails floated around to curl up over her shoulders, seeming to thicken as they went. A film of water was forming around the two ribbon-like appendages, as icy cold in appearance and touch as the Goddess's breath was. Portions of the water froze as she watched the battle, then slid back into liquid form. Her tails kept transforming the water, giving off an impression of hardening into diamond for a few seconds before shivering back into their normal state.

The air shook with the sound of rocks breaking and wind creaking beneath the weight of angry snarls. The golem’s scaled feet smashed into the earth after it came down from its eruption into the open air, sending more spiraling fissures down towards the others. It reared its flat head and its raspy mouth opened wide. Within the cracks of its bulky, jagged body, clear liquid ran, streaming through crannies and pouring onto the disheveled earth below.
“GOOOOOOOOOOOL!” it bellowed again, ferociously thrashing its head and limbs about. Donia’s shadowball collided with its side and sunk into a dent between two meshed rocks on its body. “GOOLLLEEEM! it roared its pain and staggered forward before throwing its head, along with its beady red eyes, in Donia’s direction.
“Eeeee!”
The eevee, struck dumb with a horrifying mixture of confusion and terror, hurtled towards the ground. Her ears lashed mercilessly against her head, her tail uncontrollably flailing, her limbs struggling to reverse what couldn’t possibly be done--
“Ah!” Bill gasped as he caught Eevee in his arms. He pulled her tight against his chest as they both fell onto the ground--he had jumped to catch her--and he landed with a thud and a soft crack on his shoulder. Something had happened; he wasn’t sure what, but there was no time for inspection now. With Eevee frightened and huddled in his arms, Bill attempted to lean himself up to see what was going on. “Aiiee!” he cried, biting his stuttering lips as he noted the terrible golem’s heavy, sharp feet standing mere inches from his head. He gave another attempt to push himself up using his elbow, but his arm gave way and his torso smashed into the ground. His brown hair was tossed along his head and dirt and small rocks clung to the curly strands. Eevee shivered and cried into his green shirt, and Bill felt moisture where she had rubbed her nose and chewed on his shirt nervously. His eyes jumped around franticly in search for Flannery, and he finally spotted a portion of her through the golem’s legs. She appeared to be alright, and now had Rapidash as well as Houndoom fighting with her. His mind was suddenly filled with the hug she had planted on him just before the golem’s interruption, and his face turned pink and a new sort of determination dawned his brow.
“Vulpix!” the flame-wielding fox barked as he was pulled out of danger’s immediate path by Suicune. He had been ripped from his dozy stupor at the same moment, and now found himself sitting beside another human. He blinked and squinted his eyes as he cleared his head and focused on the problem quickly developing before him. “Vulpix! Vulpix! he called once he had spotted Bill, jumping to his feet and perking his senses. He was Bill’s and Eevee’s only defense against Golem; he had to get to them! If only there weren’t this huge rock monster in the way…
A searing heat accumulated at Golem’s forehead, and his entire face became tense and knotted. He roared a terrible sound and clenched his claws as water was made to spring from the lake onto his feet. It hurt, it hurt, why couldn’t it stop?! “GOOOORRRRRGGGGHH!” It growled in a mixture of pure anger and torture, then began to swing its limbs around, grabbing at anything within reach. It began to throw chunks of land that had been dung up from its initial appearance, and its claws snatched at Bill’s shirt.
The fabric at Bill’s front tore away from him right before his very eyes, just missing the top of Eevee’s head and leaving a graze on his chest. “Ah!” he cried in surprise, quickly using his other, functioning arm to drag himself away from the irate creature. Right now, his priority was getting Eevee out of harm’s way. With all of the deadly fissures now formed around them, and his injured shoulder, he was having more trouble than would normally be expected--if there was anything to rightfully expect in a situation such as this.

A faint cry reached Vesi's ears, and she let out a sliver of a growl as she related it to Bill's voice. Mixed in with Eevee's high-pitched wails and Vulpix's barks, the sounds raked at the already-pressured Goddess until she simply crouched and sprang at the Golem, bubbles flinging themselves from her tails as she soared over Donia. Landing with a small puff of newly-made dust, she watched the Golem's movements for all of three seconds before the ground-type shrieked out a roar. Her gaze flickered to the lake water pulling away from the Golem's feet for another second, then clicked back to the round Pokemon.
The fissures around the massive creature seemed to be deep enough for what she had in mind. Vesi opened her mouth in one simple motion, sharp teeth glinting with the cold twist of ice before being obscured by the powerful jet of water that shot out into the ground in front of the Golem. The frothing water stormed against the rock, then spread out to fill the crevices and trenches made by the ground Pokemon. The result was a small moat that made an island with enough space for the Golem to walk a few steps, only that much. As the Pokemon began throwing rocks and the like, Suicune made a slight displeased sound in her throat and slid to the side in a blue blur. A scrap of green fabric floated by her, making her turn her head back to the Golem's island as she ran to the Pokemon's blind side.
She stopped when she was sure the boulder creature couldn't see her, then examined the dot of land carefully. Her ears tilted back as she found Bill clutching Eevee to him, practically under the Golem. The little prison she'd made was still big enough for him to get at least two feet away from the Pokemon, but that fact wasn't enough to comfort the Goddess. A drop of water hopped from the moat to land in front of Bill, glimmering and wiggling toward the water's edge as Vesi crept over on soundless paws. Unless the Golem did something that required immediate action, she'd probably be making a bridge of ice over the water. No use having the man and his Eevee fall into the water and alert the rocky Pokemon to their getaway. Frost jumped at her jaws, crusting over her lips as she bent to find Bill's eyes with her own.

Flannery didn't flinch at the roar this time, though it was certainly flinch worthy. She'd seen Golem before on the Volcano, feirce angry and very protective of the young geodude she may or may not have tripped over when she wasn't paying attention. She'd been scared then, and to be honest she was scared now, but now she was older and better at dealing with her fear. She'd been rescued by her family before, and they'd kept her safe knowing she wasn't strong enough to deal with it on her own. But she was strong now, wasn't she? She needed to be strong enough, because now it was her turn to do the rescuing. Her gaze skimmed sideways to where Meesha stood, her horn begining to glow as she abosrbed the sunlight needed to launch the attack. Nearly ready, nearly. Her head whipped around, in time to see Suicune spring gently to her side, and lay a Vulpix down at her side. The poor creature seemed to be in distress, ad Flannery forced herself to remain focused on the battle at hand rather than snuggle it up.
However, she couldn't help but grin as she saw the little fox hurl a flamethrower at the Golem, and her faith and love in firetypes suddenly consumed her for a moment. Even acknowledge the elemental disadvantage, the little critter wasn't going to give up. It seemed Vulpix was willing to do what he could to protect his trainer, which said a lot about Bill... Where was he, anyway? Suddenly noting his absence, Flannery looked around desperatley trying to locate the male. She couldn't believe she'd lost him, next time she would tackle him and then she'd know where he was at least! Wait, next time? Flannery feverently hoped there wouldn't be a next time, not for a while at least. Her searching for Bill was interrupted by another roar, and a large rocks being hurled towards her. Flannery threw herself sideways out of the way, rolling across the ground while Donia sprang to the other side, growling at being seperated from her trainer but focused her attention on the fight. The dark hound positioned her frame behind Vulpix, and contented herself with aiming shadowballs at the rocks heading towards them, trying to destroy them before they hit either her or the Vulpix.
Flannery groaned softly, raising her head from the cradle of her arms, trying to see through the dust and rubble sprayed around her frame. Her attention was captured by the impressivley terrifying display of water mastery on Suicune's part. Flannery felt a twinge of fear run down her spine as she was suddenly feircly reminded of the fact that the beautiful Pokemon was a godess, and gave Flannery new appriciation for the water element. She was so amazed, she forgot for a moment about the situation she was in, conseqently not noticig the chunk of earth soaring towards her. Luckily for the trainer, her Pokemon had not forgotten about her. Meesha gave a snort of anger (though the mare wasn't sure exactly what she was angry at) and gave a powerful leap to land infront of her slightly dazed trainer. Flannery blinked at the Pokemon's sudden arrival, rasing her eyes to see the rock hurling towards them. Before she had time to even think about getting out of the way, Meesha had sent a bolt of sunlight out from her horn, which cut through the rock and carried ontowards the offending Golem. Tiny pebbles rained down on the earth around them, but it was hardly dangerous.
Flannery scrambled to her feet, planting a quick kiss of appreciation on the pokemon's flank, before swinging herself up onto Meesha's back in a smooth, practised movement. Meesha reared slightly, but Flannery didn't fall, far too practised at riding the Rapidash for such things. She was about to call out to Donia, when she noted a flash of colour on the newly created island. Her jaw dropped, and she gasped in shock as she realised the awful truth. Bill was underneath the Golem! Meesha whinnyed as she became aware of the mans location, tossing her head in aggitation.
"We've got to get him out of there Meesha!
She cried, and the Pokemon snorted before backing up a few paces. Flannery leant forward, wrapping her arms around the Pokemon's neck as she sensed her intentions. Meesha broke into a short run and then bounded over the dreaded water, to land on the section of land currently occiupied by Bill and the Golem. Both Flannery and Meesha were oblivious to Suicune's far more stealthier tactics, their thoughts on Bill and the Golem respectivley. Flannery desperatley wanted Bill safe, while Meesha realised that she'd just brought them much closer to the danger, and that if she got out of this alive... Donia was going to kill her. As the adrenneline raced through her veins, Meesha's flames grew, a atural reaction to scare of the enemy. The horse Pokemon reared up on her back legs, kicking her front hooves out at the other Pokemon in what was clearly meant to be a threatening manner. The downside was that Flannery had been forced to released her grip on the Pokemon's neck due to the rising heat of the flames slid off and landed on the ground with a muffled thump. She rolled sideways to avoid a stamping foot and found herelf lying next to Bill. Which meant that she'd found him at least.
"Hi there! I'm the rescue party, here on horseback. Remember out chat about cowboys- okay so not the right time Flannery! ...Are you okay?"
Her wide eyes locked onto his frame, scanning him and his Pokemon for any signs of blood or otherwise visible injury. Meesha whineyed and Donia turned her head towards the island, whining as she saw Flannery lying on the ground too. Definatley the last time they came to Cerulean. Ever. She stopped assaulting the rocks, and tipped back her head, unleashing a haunting melody that seemed to make the air grow that little bit colder. The Howl of a Houndoom, the Howl of Death. Not strictly speaking a dangerous attack, but hopefully it would distract the Golem from squishing Flannery or Bill before Meesha or Suicune got them the hell out of there. Speaking of Meesha; so dead when Donia caught up with her! (which would be a challenge, if the other Pokemon did actually run!)
ooc: Hehe... Flannery to the rescue? Sorry, couldn't resist making her leap in like that...

Golem’s violence only seemed to escalate with the situation. Its eyes rolled with manic in its head, and it tossed its limbs, continuing to shower the area in mounds of dirt and rock. “GOOOOOL!” it continued to bellow through its incessantly gaping maw. In its fury, it did not notice the water accumulating within the fissures at its feet. The pain it had already been put through seemed too much.
The danger never ceased, never took a step back, never allowed Bill to observe the situation. Eevee continued to cry and cry and cry, muddling his sense of hearing along with the pounding of ground and roars coming from the golem. His eyes were bounding around wildly as he tried to keep the golem’s actions in view, ready to roll to the side should a claw come too close. Small pieces of rock and ground fell around Bill and Eevee, and it was all Bill could do to remain stiff and hope nothing immediately threatening rained down right on top of them. When opportunity permitted, Bill scooted backwards and away from the wild fire that was Golem. With his eyes on Golem, he had barely noticed the water that suddenly decided to form a makeshift mote around them. He glanced over his shoulder with a startled gasp to see that his path away from Golem was now severed. He tucked his legs in close, huddling Eevee against his chest and hoped for the best in such a close proximity to fatal danger. Bill glanced around, still befuddled with fear for Eevee as well as his own life. He saw Suicune doing what she could to keep Golem at bay--it seemed she had been the one to corner the golem onto the small slice of land in front of Bill’s house--and he saw Flannery and her fire pokemon battling as best they could against the shower of rocks Golem threw at them. He also saw Vulpix, who made eye contact and with his whimpering brown pupils. It was apparent to Bill that poor Vulpix didn’t know what to do--although Vulpix was what Bill called his ‘attack fox,’ little Vulpix had never been faced with such a hostile enemy. Bill’s attention was brought back to the latter: Golem roared and grimaced, and all of its attacks seemed blind with fury. Why was this pokemon acting this way? Bill knew of golem, and although they were powerful pokemon, it wasn’t in their nature to attack at random. More rocks hurtled towards the ground around him as Golem gathered more in its stubby claws, and Bill was ripped from his thoughts as he rolled himself and Eevee out of the way to bump into a warm, soft body: Flannery!
“Vulpix! Vooool!” In the midst of the golem’s attack, Vulpix was at a loss as to what to do. He tossed his six tails at Golem, but it was no use; those golem’s eyes were wild and unfocused. As rocks began to dive at him, he cringed initially, and just when he was about to jump away, he saw that the rocks had been obliterated into harmless pebbles. “Pix!” he gasped, looking over his shoulder to find Flannery’s houndoom shadowballing those rocks out of harm’s way. Relieved, Vulpix turned his attention forward, and watched as the red-haired girl mounted her rapidash and jumped to Bill’s side. “Vulpix!” he cried indignantly when he realized they hadn’t invited him to come along to protect his own friend.
When met with diamond-hard hooves, Golem turned itshead and suddenly seemed able to focus on the offending rapidash. It reared back and paused for a moment, then--
“GOOOL!” it roared and lunged at Rapidash, looking to shove the horse pokemon into the water with bared claws and a bowed, rock-hard skull.
With all the chaos falling down on top of him, Bill hardly had the time for hysterics or anything similar. “Flannery!” he said in his surprise, having opened his eyes once he had bumped into her from his roll. “Yes, I’m fine…” though this was hardly the case. He ducked his chin to bring attention to the eevee in his arms, who was most obviously scared to death. Bill looked back up at Flannery, and conveyed his sympathy for his pokemon through his eyes. He had to get her out of there, but he also needed to worry about the others, as well as this golem in the first place. “There’s something wrong with this pokemon.” he stated clearly over the ruckus. He wasn’t just a Pokemon Researcher for nothing--he could help, and if he couldn’t, what sort of a scientist was he?! “I haven’t been able to figure it out yet, but there’s got to be a reason it’s attacking like this!” Then a howl rippled through the air and cut Bill’s attention. He looked back at the golem, who seemed to be effected by this as well.
At Donia’s Howl of Death, Golem staggered and jerked around. It looked incredibly feral, cringing and grasping at the sides of its head, and then glaring intensely at the houndoom. “Gol…” it uttered before crouching down and jumping with a massive force towards houndoom, paying no heed to the threatening mote of water below.

The Goddess had no time to study the Golem for the cause of its discomfort. A gleam of surprise entered her expression as Flannery, along with her Rapidash, dropped into the scene. This made the island even more crowded, leaving Vesi no room to aim at the feral Pokemon. She probed a telekinetic alert at the humans, the psychic sound somewhat akin to a whistle, and leaned down to blow a sheet of ice over her makeshift moat. The foot-thick, aurora-caused bridge was wide enough for one person to slide away from the Golem, and unfortunately it was the biggest Vesi could make it. The longer the bridge, the more chance of it catching the light and reflecting into the boulder Pokemon's eyes. She trusted Flannery to help Bill out of there while she looked up at the Golem. Donia's howl trembled through the crest on her forehead and made the translucent headpiece shimmer, having barely any effect on the Goddess herself.
Suicune had missed the first lunge aimed for Meesha, but she saw the Golem's preparation for an attack on Donia. She tensed, then sprung lightly after the ground-type, who had just jumped over (or into?) the water around him. Her long legs gave her ample chance to catch up to the wild beast in midair, the crystals rimming her jaws crackling apart as she opened her ice-coated mouth again. As she soared almost soundlessly by the lumbering rock, she tilted her head to glide her fangs against his gravelly shell. The slightest contact, but she didn't bother to strike again as she continued her airborne path. Landing delicately a little to the front and the right of the Houndoom, she turned to watch the incoming Pokemon.
A fine lace of ice crystals began growing where her Ice Fang had grazed the Golem's body, thickening and spreading over his body in a matter of minutes. It began to coat the lower half of his shell and his legs, and it would probably pin his feet to the ground as soon as he landed. He could be examined for the reason for his agitation, or simply dealt with, after he was immobilized. Vesi blinked once as she watched her ice grow, her tails swirling at a moderate pace around her shoulders.

Flannery resisted the urge to simply fling her arms around Bill and hug the air out of his lungs, realising that this really wasn't the best time for such an act. Also, there seemed to be something wrong with Bill's arm, or shoulder, or something. She wasn't sure exactly what was injured but the girl had learnt from experiance that clinging to people in such conditions only caused more pain for them. She didn't really want to cause Bill anymore pain, she just wanted to get him out of there, in one peice. Her lips parted, ready to speak when a roar followed by a rather hysterical whinny made her head snap around in time to see Meesha staggering backwards on her hind legs as she was rammed by the Golem. The water was too close, and it was only getting closer...
"Meesha! Hang on babe, I'm coming!"
Swearing mentally, Flannery turned back to Bill, her eyes wide and almost frantic with fear on her Pokemon's behalf. She hardly heard his words, dying to go and rescue Meesha from the assault. She could see Meesha attempting to utilise a double kick attack, batting at the Golem with fire laced hooves while she tried to avoid the water, but Flannery wasn't sure how long she'd last, fending off the Golem by herself. She nodded absently at Bill, and then noticed the ice bridge Suicune had created, just big enough for one person to shimmy across. Flannery's new found faith in water Pokemon and their godess's.
"Mhmm, something wrong with it, gotcha. Now, you ad Eevee need to scamper across this pretty little bridge and get yourselves to safety, okay? Don't argue with me, I never listen anyhow. So stay alive, and I'll do the same. Catch you later!"
Flannery supressed a shudder as the howl ran through her, far more familair with Donia's wail than the other's. Even so, it was still an awful sound but she didn't have time to shiver and worry about anything apart from Bill, Meesha and Donia. So she shot Bill what she hoped was a reassuring smile, before placing a hand lightly on his chest and pushing him gently towards the bridge in the hopes he'd get his act together and move. Then, ignoring the obvious danger involved with such an act, crawled towards Meesha and the Golem. Due to the limited space, ti didn't take very long but in that short space of time a lot of things happened. Firstly, Meesha lost her footing and slipped into the moat, her front hooves scrabbling desperatley at the island as she tried to haul her self free, crying out in obvious distress as she tried to get out of the strength draining liquid. Secondly, the Golem propelled himself forward in Donia's direction.
"Donia, watch out!"
Flannery shouted out a warning towards the Houndoom, but that was all she really had time for, becuase she really needed to help Meesha. Without thinking twice (which was her thing after all), Flannery rolled into the icy water, gasping as the cold gripped her. She took a deep breath before diving below the surface, shoving against Meesha's submerged lower half trying to help push her back up onto solid dry land.
Donia lowered her head at the cry from Flannery, her eyes locking on the the looming figure of the Golem. However, before she'd even considered which attacks to use, Suicune had leapt forward and grazed the stone body, leaving a coat of ice growing around the spherical body. A shiver traced Donia's spine as she recognised the awful power of the goddess. She suddenyl realised that with the aid of the ice, her fire attacks would be a lot more effective. With a gleam in her eye, she began to gather heat, rolling it untill there was a potent flame contained in her jaws, ready to be aimed at the Golem at command or to counter attack.
Flannery was running out of air, she knew this but she didn't surface just yet. Instead she just shoved with all her weight, desperate to get the Rapidash back onto dryland. Just when Flannery was about to make a bid for the surface, it worked and between both of them, Meesha was able to get back on dry land. Flannery broke the surface of the water gasping for air, and her famously spikey hair lying flat and damp around her face and shoulders. She smiled up at Meesha who was snorting and shivvering, obviously still clearly distressed. Flannery was at a loss at what to do for a moment, untill she remembered one very important aspect about the Rapidash and then she knew exactly what to do.
"Donia, use Flamethrow on Meesha. Quickly!"
Donia hesitated for about half a second, before she complied with the command and sent a blast of flame towards the soaked Rapidash. Flannery grinned as she watched the heat embrace the horse, Meesha's Flash Fire allowing her to gain energy from the firey assault. Flannery signelled for the hound to cease fire after a moment, and bit her lip, hoping that it had worked as she thought it would have. For a moment Meesha just stood there, and then her mane and tail suddenly blazed into life and she neighed happily, making Flannery cry out in delight before reaching down for the Pokeball at her belt.
"You did great Meesha! Have a break now, okay?"
Meesha snorted once before she was absorbed back into the sphere. Flannery slid the now full sphere back into place, before she swam across the expanse of the icy water, pulling herself back onto dry land. The dripping wet teenager shivvered as the air hit her, and realising she hadn't been paying attention, spun on the spot to try and see what was happening with the Golem. Maybe Bill was right, and there was something wrong with it?

Golem witnessed Suicune coming at it, but it was not enough to phase it. It couldn’t very well deter its path in mid-air as it was, either way. It continued soaring over the mote of treacherous water, and swiped blindly at Suicune as she passed. It seemed confused, but definitely aggressive towards her, no matter what sort of godly status she possessed. The ice then began to take hold of its rocky form. “GOOOOOOOOOOL!” it voiced its terrible pain in a blood-curdling cry, now completely stiffened, its limbs rendered useless and encased in ice. “GOOOOO-oool!” Its roar was quickly heightened into a desperate whimper as it hurtled hell ward.
Flannery’s reassurance towards Meesha rang in Bill’s ears from the close distance, and his swift eyes caught the danger the rapidash had put herself in. His eyes lingered, willing the rapidash to stay dry and on land despite the golem’s menacing swipes. He looked back to Flannery, who met his eyes and transferred her concern through her fiery gaze. He nodded back at her, his lips forming a determined line: he didn’t need her, Meesha did. As she began to talk to him, he nodded fiercely, just as frantic as she was to get moving.
“I--” he tried to get a word in, but before he knew it she was bidding him a (temporary) farewell and pushing his chest. He tightened his grip around Eevee, shivering but warm in his arms, as he watched Flannery run to her pokemon’s rescue. “Catch you later.” he muttered, although the girl he spoke to had already crawled out of earshot. With Golem gone from the island, Bill craned his neck to look behind him where the ice bridge had formed. He considered it with hesitant brown eyes, then looked back to see Suicune and Golem flying towards each other in the air. He tightened his teeth and bit back any apprehension he had. He needed to get a closer look at that golem. Looking down at the top of Eevee’s head, Bill saw that her ears were folded tightly against her furry brown cranium, her eyes squeezed tightly shut. “It’s okay,” he comforted her and stroked her head before leaning forward and forcing himself to his feet. “Ugh,” he moaned as he stumbled towards the bridge. It should not be that hard to get up without the use of his arms (one secure around Eevee, the other useless because of its shoulder). “I need to work out more…” Bill moaned the cliché and quickly approached the ice bridge. He frowned, but quickly suppressed the emotion for now, there was no time for that or any sort of inward quarreling. Still, he couldn’t help but cautiously reach out his foot, lightly releasing his weight onto the ice structure. With a sigh, he grounded himself and moved to take another step.
“WHOA!” Bill cried as he suddenly found himself flat on his back and sliding down the bridge.
“Vee!” Eevee sobbed and dug her tiny claws into Bill’s chest.
“Ah, Vee…” Bill winced, but realized it was really nothing compared to the extremity of the situation falling apart around them. Their pace slowed along the makeshift bridge, cold against his back, he could feel the water accumulating on his shirt…
His feet touched the grass on the other side, and he was relieved that he hadn’t somehow been directed into the water below. The relief soon passed, however, as he realized he was on his back, unable to use his arms on a slippery bridge that wasn’t wide enough to allow much movement to either side. He craned his neck back to see how the situation with the golem was going.
Rapidash had fallen in the water. The clear liquid was flying everywhere as the poor creature struggled to get out, and her energy was draining quickly no doubt. Golem was flying through the air, now dressed as an icicle and headed for Vulpix and Flannery’s houndoom. Suicune was on the island Bill had just left. But where was Flannery?
Golem hurtled towards the ground, straight for Vulpix and Donia. “Vol!” Vulpix cried, wagging his tails and taking a step back towards Donia.
Bill struggled to get up, kicking his legs and somehow miraculously got to his feet. “Come on,” he muttered, as if speaking to the eevee in his arms. He ran around the mote towards where Rapidash had fallen. It was then he saw the mighty fire pokemon pull herself out of the water, and behind her--was Flannery, coughing for air and soaking wet.
“Flannery!” Bill called, although he wasn’t sure it could be heard over the roar of flames coming from Donia. He was startled at first; as the fire engulfed Rapidash, he was afraid she would be hurt. But his senses soon came to him, and as Rapidash emerged without a scratch and a mane full of flames, he recalled the pokemon’s incredible ability. He sighed with relief; it was a small speck of light within the terrible chaos that had started ever since that golem had made its presence known. His stress was clearly shown in his brown hair, which had been tossed every which way in fierce curls, not to mention his shirt had a chunk missing on the front. On top of that, he was covered in dirt.
Vulpix saw his friend standing by the mote, not too far away, and called to him. “Vulpix!” he cried happily just as the golem came within meters of the ground.
“Vulpix!” Bill called urgently, to which Vulpix turned his attention towards the enormous rock pokemon.
“Vol!” Vulpix waved his tails through the air, gathering oxygen and revving up heat before releasing an ember attack on the frozen pokemon. It wasn’t an incredibly powerful attack, but it was enough to divert the golem’s path to the water below.
SHHHWWWWSH!
The golem disappeared within a tumult of water that rose into the air, looming its threat towards Vulpix and Donia.

"Stop."The tilting wave of clear water ground to a halt above the two Fire Pokemon, coming to a shimmering stop as Vesi twisted the liquid into solid form. Eyes closed, she barely moved as each molecule in the water shivered into cold ice. The wave finally ceased moving as its tip froze as well, coming to rest almost serenely a few feet above Donia's head. The base of the iceberg snaked back to the moat the Golem had landed in, joining the disturbed water and spreading through it. The walls of an icy pen pulled themselves into place as the water froze into a circle of translucent white, broken only by the spots where the rock Pokemon and Flannery occupied space in the depressions. A thin sheet of frigid white, barely half an inch thick, coated the ground where the boulder-like creature's circular cage sat in the moat. Suicune blinked her red eyes open to look down at the Golem, her senses returning bit by bit as she withdrew from the icy sculpture hovering above land a few yards out of the moat's borders. The rocks covering his body seemed charred, an effect of the combined power of her and Donia's attacks. The Goddess deemed it unnecessary to continue her inspection, turning to walk to the middle of the island and stare off into the distance. With a quick glance, she confirmed that Bill was safe on dry ground, along with his Eevee, and she returned her eyes to the clouds gathering countless miles away. This use of her abilities was chipping away at her resolve to ignore the deliberately painful taps on her mind. Unfortunately she couldn't afford to be as cold and hard as the solid ice she created. Of course, that was the point of being a Water Goddess: your charges enjoyed the peace you created, and you took on their troubles. Shifting uncomfortably for a minute or so, she finally lay down again to watch the humans and Pokemon in front of her. || *Is typing random crap to make this look credible* ;; ||
