Flannery wasn’t a big fan of the cold. She couldn’t deal with it well, she grew up on the planes of an active Volcano, and had adapted to the heat. She thrived in heat, but in the cold… A slight breeze that wouldn’t have bothered her earlier only seemed to enhance the icy chill seeping into her bones. She shivered violently, teeth chattering together. All the while freezing cold droplet’s of water dripped from her hair, clung to her skin and made her clothing heavy. The tiny shirt and waterlogged jeans were not helping the teenager retain any warmth. Flannery was certain she’d never be warm again, but she didn’t really have time to dwell on this fact. For there was a large wall of water about to cascade over Donia and Vulpix, and Flannery wasn’t sure how well her second Pokemon would cope with exposure to such a quantity of the feared substance. If she would survive even. The fact that Flannery felt pathetic, and was freezing failed to matter in that moment. Adrenaline kicked in, and she was running despite the hindrance of her heavy clothing. She ran as fast as she could, pumping her arms and leg’s fiercely as she tried to reach Donia in time. A part of her knew she wouldn’t make it, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t try!
”Donia!!!”
Donia’s eyes widened in horror as she witnessed the giant wave looming over her and the tiny Vulpix stood a few inches away. There was no way they could escape contact with such a thing, it was huge. Donia’s life did not flash before her eyes though, instead a low growl escaped her frame, and she moved forward so she was stood closer to the second fire Pokemon, using her bulk to try and shield the tiny Vulpix. At least if she was going to die, she wouldn’t die running away, which was always a good thing. Stand her ground. That’s what Flannery’s grandfather had always said she should do, be like Niall and stand her ground. Well here she was, standing her ground. The fire hound could see Flannery running out of the corner of her eye, and hear her name being screamed as the trainer tried to bargain with thin air for her Pokemon’s survival. A slight shiver traced her spine, and in that split second Donia rethought her decision and wondered if she should run. By then it was too late, the water was upon them. It was too late-
"Stop."
At the goddesses command, the waves ceased its movement. Donia watched in awe as what would have been her watery demise was suddenly transformed into a wall of ice, the tip resting a few feet above her head. Donia’s eyes widened as she took in the frozen peak, but she didn’t have more than a few seconds to do such an act, as she was promptly tackled. A muffled squeak came from the Pokemon as she found herself propelled to the left by something cold and wet. However, the surprise soon turned to delight as she realised it was Flannery. The trainer wrapped her arms around the Pokemon and hugged her tightly, hiding her face in the dark fur that always smelt singed. Donia barked softly, her tail wagging at the tip as her trainer clung to her but her gaze travelled over Flannery’s shoulder to where the Golem was now trapped by the ice. She yipped softly, and wriggled slightly. Flannery took her cue and freed the Pokemon from her embrace after just a moment more. Donia shook her frame violently; sending water droplet’s flying into Flannery. The redhead giggled and shivered slightly as the cold began to set in. Donia whined softly, but realised there was little she could do, short of using Flamethrower on her trainer. That would be more of a hindrance than a help, and she didn’t want to have to rush Flannery to a Medical Center with third degree burns.
Flannery turned to stare at the once fierce Golem now trapped easily within the ice, her gaze sliding towards the island where Suicune lounged easily, obviously not finding the ice pen to be as amazing as Flannery. Then again, the water goddess could do such an act with no difficulty; it was others who struggled to comprehend the casual ease in which she could do so. Flannery turned her eyes slowly away from the relaxing Goddess and back to the Golem. Despite all the pain and fear the Golem had put them all through, Flannery couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. For a moment she stood there, wondering what had triggered the attacks, an echo of Bill’s words. Bill!
The redhead turned sharply, her eyes seeking out the male in a sudden panic. What if he’d been trampled, or drowned- No, there he was! The teen grinned in delight and bounded over to where he stood, Donia at her heels.
”Biiiilllll!”
She chirped happily, coming to a stop a mere few inches away from the male in question. Her arms opened wide as if she were going to hug him, but then she stopped, remembering about his arm just in time. There was also the fact that she was still sopping wet, but that was only an after thought. Flannery took note of the ripped and dirty clothing, and the fact his curls had gone quite mad. She wondered for a moment how she must look, all wet with flat hair, but then she decided that to be honest she didn’t care.
”Are you okay? I’m so glad you’re alive! I’m glad That was so scary, wasn’t it? I don’t ever want to do something like this again, well, at least I don’t want it to happen again for a very long time!”
She exclaimed, glancing over to where the Golem was still trapped. Her gaze softened slightly again, and she nibbled on her lower lip before looking over at Bill again, her worry for the Pokemon still evident in her gaze.
”So… What happens now?”
She asked quietly, imploring Bill to answer the question. She’d lost the Gym Leader attitude now; she didn’t want to be in charge. She couldn’t be in charge. She couldn’t decide the fate of the Golem, whether they rescued him or left him to perish in the water. She really didn’t want it to be the latter, but then again, he’d done some awful things. Flannery wrapped her arms around her body to try and suppress her shivering, her crimson eyes looking up at Bill beseechingly, begging him to fix everything that had been broken. She hoped he could, because Flannery knew she couldn’t. Not right now.

Before Vulpix’s eyes, the very water that promised to devastate him suddenly made time freeze. The only thing that seemed to move were Vulpix’s shaking limbs. His red fur stood on end, and his pupils shook as well, but the water stayed put. It took a moment of recovery for the fire pokemon to realize the water had been crystallized into an element he could easily deal with. “Vulpix?”Bill had witnessed the entire thing from a few feet away. Eevee still refused to unbury her head from Bill’s chest. Upon reassuring that Vulpix was safe and sound, Bill turned his attention to the Suicune, who now resided across the mote, in the middle of the makeshift island. His lips curled into a hesitant but warm smile, one eyebrow perked. “Thank you.” The gratitude he felt was clear in those brown eyes of his. If it hadn’t been for Suicune, Bill wasn’t quite sure they would have been able to make it out of the battle alive. And it certainly had been a dangerous feat--wild pokemon weren’t known to attack at random, not like that anyway, even if Bill was located in the middle of slight wilderness. Still--Golem was a rock pokemon. There was hardly any reason for it to be all the way down here, where it was surrounded by water and grass. “Vulpix!” Bill’s fire pokemon chimed from his position at Bill’s feet. He had padded over as soon as he had gathered himself, and now wagged his six tails happily. His simple mind had deemed the danger over with, and now was a time to celebrate and relax. Vulpix had accompanied the red-haired Gym Leader. Bill smiled at Flannery and Donia as they quickly reached him. He appeared slightly apologetic as Flannery began to quickly voice her thoughts. He was beyond happy that everyone was okay, but the girl’s hyperactivity continued to catch him slightly off-guard. His smile vanished at Flannery’s finishing question. He glanced past her towards the cage of ice, where he could see Golem’s distorted image through the semi-transparent walls. “We figure out what’s wrong with Golem.” he told Flannery, bringing his brown-eyed gaze from the pokemon to his new acquaintance. He now noticed how incredibly soaked she was. “You’re….wet…” he muttered, a bit apprehensive. How had he not noticed immediately? His mind must’ve been too trapped with Golem. “Ah… Vulpix, can you go get Flannery a towel?” he hesitated slightly, smiling all the while to hide any nerves that might jump out at him. He turned back to Flannery, realizing what taking care of her current state would require. “I… uh, do you want a change of clothes…?” Vulpix had already gone off on his quest, but he could just as easily send the pokemon off again once he returned. If Flannery did, (which would only be sensible) that would mean Bill would have to lend her some of his clothes. The thought made him a bit red in the face. Vulpix soon returned, bounding towards them. He was followed by a flying farfetch’d, who carried a folded towel by his feet. He stopped by Flannery’s head, flapping his wings directly at her to remain airborne, unaware that he was most likely sending chilly air currents against Flannery’s already cold body. While Bill’s thoughts were stumped by this minor predicament, Eevee began to lash her tail around and gather the courage to peek at the outside world. Everything appeared to be settled. There was no more running, no more loud noises, no more falling rocks. “Vee!” Eevee harrumphed, pushing her paws against Bill and struggling to release herself from his arms. With a small “oh,” Bill released the baby pokemon, and she bounded to the ground. “Vee! Vee! Vee! Vee!” she called, bouncing around and relishing the fact that she could once again play without fear. She attacked Bill’s feet, then Donia’s paws, and then Flannery’s shoes. She glanced over at Suicune--she couldn’t clear the gap between herself and Suicune, but she could certainly taunt the Goddess until she came over to her side. She crouched by the side of the mote and lowered her head to the ground, lashing her tail about. “Vee! Vee!” she cried, gnashing her teeth playfully. Vulpix noticed this, and was quickly reminded of Suicune. He took it upon himself to trot towards the Goddess, who had quite obviously proven her love when she had saved him from the water. Not all was done yet, however. The Golem was temporarily dazed within its icy tomb, but it was not yet out. It took a while, but it did recover from the initial weakening blast of water. “Goooolll…” it rumbled from deep within its hardened gut. “GOOOOOOOOOOOOL!” its voice became amplified, and in its anger, it raised its clawed fists high above its head and smashed them into the ice. It began hammering and hammering as it roared, chipping away bit by bit at the wall of ice. Its feet slipped and scraped on the ice below, but it continued adamantly attacking its containment. ((sorry this is a bit all over the place! ))

What better way to distract yourself from an imminent run over half the region to a sullied pond than taking a trip back in time? Vesi let her mind slip into the way of thinking that had accompanied her youngest years, rising to smile playfully at the Eevee and cross the iced-over moat to the brown Pokemon. The Goddess seemed to shrink, downsizing until she was barely larger than Vulpix. Tails waving about her, she crouched opposite Eevee and pounced, aiming to roll the little bundle of fur over.
If her brothers could see her now, they'd never let her live it down. Of course, that was why she was oldest, so she could thoroughly trounce their hides after indulging in a little play and being ridiculed for it. What point was running all over the world without some rest and relaxation? Entei vented his pent up energy by appearing to random trainers, then blasting flames at them; Raikou dumped his storms on parts of the land and flounced off to pout in a thundercloud. Suicune took what she saw as a more rewarding and amiable outlet, the preference showing in the cheerful way she batted lightly at Eevee's tail. Humans associated size with age, anyhow; the smaller, the younger, or so it was automatically supposed. As such her worries diminished with her size, the Goddess letting them cram themselves into the secret compartment at the back of her head.
The ice refused to give into the Golem's battering, spiking up threateningly as he began thrashing and chipping away at it. A web of it grew up next to the Pokemon, sparkling in a way that implied that it would latch onto him if he didn't stop this useless struggling. The rest of the moat's crystallized water began to seep into the makeshift cage, making the material so dense that it would probably stand up to diamonds in hardness. What was left of it lay around in small shards that somehow remained in solid form, staying adamantly in an icy state.
|| So if we track Vesi's behavior so far, it's been Tranquil >> Badass >> Little kid.

She exlaimed, suprisingly speechless as she stared at Bill in what could only be described as wonderment. She noted the familiar blush tainting his face and wondered why on earth it appeared there so much. She'd have to ask him about it, she decided. Not that she didn't quite like the contrast of colours on the man's complexion, becuase in all honesty she did. Suddenly there was a cold draft and the girl shivvered reflexivley, hugging her arms tighter around her form as if to preserve some warmth. Donia's eyes narrowed as she saw the flying type, and she gave a soft growl, wondering if she should warm up the draft chilling Flannery with a well aimed Flamethrower. She would have done too, if she hadn't noticed the towel being held in the bird's feet. "Doom."She intoned, nudging Flannery's leg before raising her head pointedly towards the flapping bird. Flannery blinked in confusion before rasing her gaze and spotting the towel. A grin light up her face and she extended an arm, tugging the towel from the clawed feet and wrapping it eagerly around her frame. "Thanks." She sighed the word happily as she snuggled into the dry towel. Flannery narrowed her eyes at the Farfetch'd, a threatening growl escaping her frame. A clear instruction for the bird to stop fanning a rather cold breeze towards the Lavaridge natives, because Donia was in her protective mode and wasn't in the mood to be messed with. If the bird didn't move, well Donia's plan was to cook it and than eat it. Flannery shot her a warning glance at the growl, but Donia's glare didn't lessen in the slightest and she wondered if she really could kill a bird with a look. If anybody could preform such a feat, it would be Donia. Flannery rolled her eyes at her pokemon's anti-social behaviour but didn't pay much attention to it. She was used to Donia, and often forgot that other people weren't. She beamed happily at Bill, still clutching the towel tightly around her like the lifeline it was. As she grinned at the male, she remembered her earlier thoughts. "Biiiilllll.... How come you blush so much?" She chirped in a sing-song voice, a slight giggle accompanying her words. However, the giggle turned into a slight squeak as the roars of the still clearly enraged Pokemon resounded through her frame and she scuttled closer to Bill, though she refrained from hurling herself upon him quite yet. Donia snarled angrily at the Golem, her dark fur bristling with barely contained rage as she fought the near overwhelimg desire to smother the rock Pokemon in darkness. Flannery watched in awe as the ice shifted and moved to keep the rock type trapped, silenced by Suicune's power. Her mind took her back through the previous events, and she picked up on a certain few words amongst all the noise of her memories. "Y-You said you wanted to s-study it, right? Well... Why don't you try and c-catch it?"" The words were stumbled over slightly, partly from the chill and partly from her underlying nerves. However she unclipped an empty sphere from her belt and held it out towards Bill, her eyes wide as she waited for him to take control of a situation that had spiralled madly out of control. Donia couldn't help her attention straying towards the now tiny godess as she watched the antics of the pair. How... Strange. Donia knew the Godess's was powerful, and she had no doubt of that but seeing such a glorious and majestic creature frolic in such a manner seemed so... Unnatural. Donia wondered if all the God's were of such a disposition, and then shook that thought away. She refused to believe that Entei could frolic. ooc; -shot- [/ul]

The two tails twining gently over the Goddess's shoulders slowed, eventually stopping their flowing motion to lay limp on the ground next to her. Her ears tilted toward Flannery, the only sign other than her ribbon tails that she had heard the Gym Leader's suggestion. Much as she loved humans, she did not care for Pokeballs. Skipping back a pace to put space between her and Bill's Eevee, she gave half a second to her examination of the sphere Flannery was holding out to the researcher, then relaxed to sit down with an apologetic smile at Eevee. Her playful mood was toned down now; the prospect of fighting the people she'd protected and shared time with was shifting the Goddess back into her usual self. Her mane rippled as its length grew a little. Suicune's whole body merged up into a slightly larger shape, now perhaps up to the humans' knees and Donia's chest. Falling onto her side, she watched her surroundings from her position. Head propped up on crossed paws, she gave a sideways glance at Vulpix before letting her eyelids fall halfway over her vision. Unseen to observers, the reserve of power in her tapped impatiently against her ribs, the icy water she knew she could flood the area with rolling impatiently up in her body. It should now be clear that deities tend to take after their respective duties. Fire acted as enraged, blazing fire. Lightning acted as easily-distracted, random lightning. Life glowed with life, the sun glowed warmth, the moon radiated cold comfort. Water acted as impulsive water, going from a thrashing maze of waves to miles of glassy calm. || I'M SORRY IT FAILS AND IS SHORT AS USUAL. Heck I stick a plea for forgiveness on the end of all my posts. ;;; ||

Farfetch’d eyed Donia precariously before flapping away and settling beside his human friend. The bird pokemon was a large one: his fluffy head reached past Bill’s waist, and his brown-feathered body was just large enough for Bill to fit on--it might not be obvious upon first glance, but Farfetch’d was Bill’s main form of transportation. ”Thank you, Farfetch’d,” Bill said quietly to his pokemon. He was well aware of Donia’s displeasure towards Farfetch’d--Farfetch’d wasn’t exactly an intelligent creature, and Bill expressed a slight amount of empathy towards the houndoom through his expression. He turned back to Flannery, seeing she had utilized the towel his pokemon had brought her. All natural color flushed from his face and where one moment he had only a touch of pink at his cheeks, in the next he shared the color of Vulpix’s tails. Flannery’s question had been a hammer on his strings, but when she nestled closer to him he all but melted into a puddle at her feet. His limbs were rendered quite stiff at this point, and due to the flapping inside of his own chest, he barely caught onto Flannery’s next words. His eyes widened at the pokeball presented--red, like Flannery’s hair--and he took control of his seizing lips once his calculating mind processed two and two. “Ah, y-yes…” Bill’s stuttering wasn’t because he was cold or wet (as he was neither) and he bravely stepped forward, but did not touch the pokeball. Once he was away from Flannery (who seemed to emanate quite a warmth, despite her currently soaking state) he managed to think clearly, and focus on the pokemon pounding its fists and roars into the cage of ice that surrounded it. Snapping into procedure as per the norm, Bill curled a finger around his small chin and pondered out loud.
“I think… It didn’t come down here on its own.” he muttered, still observing the distraught creature. “Golem don’t live down here. It’s too wet, too grassy. They prefer the terrain of caves. Mt. Moon, for instance,” Bill directed his thoughts not to anyone in particular but the air in front of him. “It must’ve rolled down here by mistake. An earthquake might’ve done it,” he speculated matter-of-factly. He turned his attention back towards Flannery and Suicune. Eevee was still blissfully unaware of anything that was going on, and had taken to attacking Suicune’s paws. Vulpix was shooting patronizing glares at the baby pokemon while resting quietly beside the Water Goddess. “I’m sorry, Flannery, but I don’t think I will catch it. I’d much rather return it back home. I think that’s what it wants,” he couldn’t look at her for some reason. To cover for himself, Bill turned back towards the Golem. Much like himself, the Golem appeared rather worse for wear. From what he could tell, and judging by the marks on Golem’s shell, the pokemon had been suffering long before it had attacked them. “It was only attacking out of confusion…” he mumbled. “It was under ground… It must’ve gotten trapped some how, then burrowed through here…” Bill settled his chin in his hand, propping his arm in his other hand against his chest. His disrupted hair fell in loose, curly strands around his eyes, and he could feel the cool skin of his hand against his bare torso through the hole in his polo shirt. His thoughts were much too distracted by the Golem to really notice, however--he now recalled how the golem had first appeared to them. “The water from the lake must’ve gotten to it.” he confirmed this to himself. The rock pokemon still careened its fists at the ice structure around it, rattling the earth, though its effects had become minimal.

She assured Bill brightly, wrapping the towel a little closer around her shoulders and then returned to watching the man as he studied the Pokemon. Flannery wondered where he’d learnt all this information about Golem. She didn’t know much about them at all, and she’d grown up around them! Well, not really grown up around them. More like she’d run into them when she’d gone somewhere she shouldn’t have and then she’d run away like crazy. But still. All she knew is that they were big, violent and had surprisingly good aim when they threw rocks. But Bill was confident with his words, talking about habitats and deducing the likely causes for his appearance and Flannery tried her best to keep up with all the words that came tumbling out of the man’s mouth. When he finally finished speaking, Flannery took a few moments to puzzle out the words circling her head, trying to make two and two equal four when she kept thinking about five. ”So… There was an earthquake or something that made it fall down the big mountain place over there,” here Flannery paused ot guesture towards the mountain range behind them, not remembering it’s official name. ”, and it rolled into the lake, got scared by the water burst out and tried to y’know, destroy us? Because… Because it was all muddled up? And now we’ve got to get it home? Is that it?”She was pretty sure that somewhere along the lines she’d got it wrong, but it seemed to make sense. She’d seen confused Pokemon in battles before, and they’d hurt their own team-mates before, so it wasn’t that strange really. Then her brow furrowed slightly as she failed to puzzle out what was clearly a vital piece of this whole jigsaw. ”But… How?! I mean, we’re all the way down here, and we need to get it all the way up there!! So how do we get it home?”She asked, giving into her own people-craving desire and stepping closer to Bill, coming to stand at his shoulder. Her head tilted to the side as she offered him a questioning look, waiting for him to get all the answers like she assumed he would. He was smart after all. She glanced nervously up at the Golem who was causing the earth to tremble, and decided that in all honesty she didn’t like being this close to the creature. Responding to her nervous instincts, the redhead laid a hand on Bill’s arm, allowing herself to be once more reassured by his presence. For her part, Donia wasn’t too concerned about getting the creature home. She didn’t care too much what happened to it, as long as whatever it was that did happened posed Flannery no harm. And seeing how the stupid creature was encased in Goddess made ice, Donia doubt it had any real chance of escaping and hurting the redhead. And if it did… Well, she’d turn it into rubble. So instead of fussing about the ickle wickle pebble pokemon, Donia instead focused her attention on Suicune, wondering why the Goddess remained. Not that she really wanted such a creature to leave, but she was curious. Donia had heard that the God’s were ever moving, always busy (well there were some rumours that Raikou was slacking off but there were no such rumours about Suicune) and it surprised the fire hound to see Suicune so still. She did however spare a glare for the baby pokemon so mindlessly attacking the water goddess’s paws. Baby pokemon were all so stupid. Donia had never been that stupid, of that she was quite sure. And if anybody said otherwise, she’d make sure they never said anything again. Donia did feel a kinship towards the Vulpix at that moment, as she caught one of the patronising glances directed towards the Eevee. Donia wondered why they couldn’t have a decent Vulpix like that on the team, instead of the priss-ball that was Amber. If she’d seen the Goddess she would have kicked up a fuss that she wasn’t the most beautiful Pokemon in the area, and then Donia might just have had to drown her. As it was, she simply sat on the ground and gave a leisurely yawn, making sure the Golem got a good view of all her teeth. No harm in a little threat, was there? [/ul]

Vesi let her paws be batted back and forth, her attention drifting as she listened to Bill and Flannery discuss the Golem's fate. Occasionally she moved herself to jab softly out at Eevee and tempt the small Pokemon into more play.
It was quite obvious that the Golem did not come from the surrounding land - frankly, the words blasting out of his mind were quite vulgar. Suicune shifted again until her tails could unwind and reach Vulpix as well. The two ribbons twitched from their spot up by her shoulders, then flipped back softly to land on the ground behind her and sway over the dirt with a slight sifting noise.
She decided she liked Bill. The whole return-and-not-catch thing was a large part of that, but overall the human was an agreeable person for Vesi to be around. Flannery as well, though Suicune hadn't seen too much of the girl's character. She seemed to care about her world quite enough, though, so Vesi left it at that. She stood with a small sigh, her breath forming a plume of cold steam in front of her as the air left her body. She padded lightly to the ice, watching the Golem's blurred shape focus and become a sharp-lined image as she slid her frozen water into the formation that let the sunlight beam directly through the cage.
She brushed a tendril of her mind against the Golem's, attempting to funnel some sort of composure into the Pokemon's body. A wave of staggering emotion responded, thrusting its way toward her consciousness with a blind rage. With a coughing growl she severed the connection and flicked at the cage with a tail before turning to step away from it and sit again.
The ice emitted a strange groaning noise of it's own, different parts of the faceted cage glimmering before seeming to contract. The outermost layers of the cage seemed to melt, and indeed they slipped down toward the bottom sides to freeze again in the form of spindly legs. The thick poles of ice, hinged somehow to bend at two spots, curled loosely around the cage, then snapped out to push off of the ground and lift the cage tremulously into the air, so that the Golem was up at the humans' eye level. Meanwhile the rest of the cage shrunk until there was barely any room around the Golem's actual body.
Vesi made a noncommittal sound at seeing the end product and turned her head back to Bill. She wanted this Pokemon returned to its home as soon as possible, and two humans and a few Pokemon (none of them water or grass types) wouldn't do very well at dragging and rolling an aggressive, half-crazed Golem uphill to some mountain cave. The cage bent one leg experimentally while the multiple others steadied it, then stood still. Hopefully the contraption was solid enough to resist a mad rock rolling around in it.
"Shall we go?"
Her voice rang less this time, seemingly toned down by the various spurts of action that stole from her usual amused tone. Usually she sounded as if her speech would ripple into the crystal tones people associated with her presence. (Strange that the Crystal Bell was modeled after her laughter.) Now it was dulled somehow, still managing to echo into itself but ending its ripples in a short, blunt cutoff.

Something in Flannery’s efforts to repeat in her own words what Bill had deduced made him smile. The corners of his lips gathered his cheeks beneath his brown eyes, and the view of the upset golem in front of him became an undefined backdrop to his thoughts. She had gotten the basic idea, but Bill wasn’t really thinking about that--he turned with something of affection on his face and nodded at the blazing red-headed girl. At her question, Bill wasn’t sure if he had an answer--his eyes strayed to Suicune, but before much more could be said, he felt shivers stroke his side as Flannery sidled closer. He would have thought he’d have gotten used to it by now, but nope--waves of heat quickly ascended his features, and he pressed his uncertain lips fast together to keep from… well, whatever it was he might do out of sheer nervousness. To make things worse, the girl at his side placed her (rather cold) hand on his arm, and not only did it sprout goose bumps all along his exposed skin, but he felt as if his legs would go numb.
Vulpix appeared to try not to watch Eevee’s embarrassing antics. As Suicune’s tails attended him, he burrowed his neck between his shoulders bashfully before moving himself to regain his composure once again. An ear twitched and he could not take his eyes off of Suicune. Eevee, on the other hand, was still annoyingly unaware of everything but herself and continued jumping around playing with anything that would move.
”Vol?” Vulpix jumped to his paws, ears and tails alert as he felt the earth tremor. He followed his senses to the transformation of the ice built around the golem. Eevee ceased her play and appeared quite shocked. With trembling eyes, she froze and wrapped her bushy tail tightly around her nerve-wracked form.
Bill watched, utterly amazed by the very concept that a pokemon could manipulate water--ice--in such a manner. Though he was still quite conscious of the fact that Flannery was at his side, Bill managed to keep his wide eyes on the frozen structure containing the rampant rock pokemon. Without him knowing, his jaw dropped.
”GOOOOOOL…” The creature growled, apparently not pleased by its containment nor the fact that it was being handled. It threw its claws at the ice, attempting to shave away its barrier, but it was to no avail. The golem seemed to be registering the fact that it had no way to free itself, not against a legendary pokemon such as the Goddess Suicune. ”LEEEEEEM…” Its beady eyes glared at the humans nearby, rattled with its anger.
Although the golem was presenting quite the threat, even from within its frozen coop, Bill was not unsettled. Being with Suicune might have attributed to that, for even though Bill was widely recognized as a Pokemon expert, he still found himself nervous around the ones that weren’t entirely friendly. His gaze was slowly turned from the massive, rocky being to the Suicune that manipulated it. He was incredibly thankful for being granted the Suicune’s presence, and help of all things. It was astounding and Bill could hardly manage it within his Pokemaniac head. Her voice was more real than he could have imagined, even if her lips did not move.
“Ye--ah,” Bill stuttered, looking at Flannery. “I think… We would both like to change first?” With some color fading into his cheeks, Bill looked down at the tattered front of his shirt. He looked back up at Suicune with an uncertain yet reassuring smile. The walk to Mt. Moon wasn’t too incredibly long, but they still had to cross through Cerulean City, and he wasn’t exactly presentable. ”And…” Bill turned his head towards Golem, ”I have something that may be able to calm him…” He wasn’t sure, and his features clearly expressed that much.

Donia mused, directing her thoughts towards the goddess aware of their mind reading abilities. Perhaps she should have used her title, or lavished her with admirations and respect but Donia hardly thought this was the time to suck up to a Goddess. She hoped the goddess wouldn’t take offence and realised that the lack of eloquence in the words was not a sign of disrespect, but her thoughts quickly moved on to more concerning matters. Her main concerns were for Flannery, and getting the giant rock back to where it belonged so it no longer posed a threat. Donia had a fleeting fancy that she might quite like to be a water or grass type, simply so she could destroy the Golem with ease but hurriedly dismissed the thought. She was what she was, and she excelled. Flannery was still in awe. ”That’s… It’s…… Her gaze was riveted on the cage as she struggled to try and find words to fit such an amazing scene. Wow.”She breathed finally, unable to find the needed words. How did you go about describing that anyway? Her thoughts were suddenly full of an echoing sound, sharp but melodious. She was startled for a moment, and then relaxed as she recalled the Goddess’s way of communication. ”Oh yeah. Um, it would be nice if we could change first, seeing as my clothes are all waterlogged, so could we do that, if you don’t mind of course. Um, I mean, if you’re busy I can stay damp for a while, it’s not a big deal.” In all honesty, Flannery dreaded the thought of clambering over a mountain in this state, but she wasn’t going to ask a Goddess to wait for her because that would be rude. Flannery was many things, but her mother had installed a good sense of manners’ into her head and she hadn’t forgotten the lessons. Not yet anyway. ”Dooom!”Donia snarled at the Golem, rising to her feet in one fluid movement. Her eyes flashed, and her hackles were raised. The dark fur bristled with anger, and her long white teeth were revealed as she drew back her lips with the snarl. Donia was getting tired of this foul pokemon, and itched to have it destroyed. How dare it attempt to threaten Flannery and her new friend? It should learn when it was outmatched, and keep silent! [/ul]

Vesi tilted her head and nodded to Bill's comment on the humans' clothing. She had forgotten that they wore those things. Likely they were near frozen with the water she had created, the Goddess realized with a slight flash of embarrassed recognition. She didn't want the humans catching one of those sicknesses that they seemed so vulnerable, and her tails reflected the worried thought by flicking hurriedly at the door of Bill's cottage.
Clothing...She supposed it was a must for humans. The diamonds scattered on her sides rippled into different forms as she shifted in her sitting position, mane conforming easily to her spine's changing shape. In Suicune's case the water simply rolled off, unless she wanted it to stay. Useful thing, that, considering some of the worst pollution she'd had to deal with in the past. A particularly nasty oil spill she remembered quite well had featured enough contamination to make the Goddess actually dive to clear the whole area of grime. Those few days she'd spent there she'd been swimming around with a film of air around her, the cold space repelling the oily water and keeping her from getting mired down by the very filth she was eradicating. How the people had looked when she'd emerged from the depths with the remains of the oil slipping easily off of her form... Sometimes she considered humans' smiles the only satisfaction she needed, next to her dancing and the water she ruled over.
Donia's question made Vesi blink slowly back into the present. She cast a sideways glance at the cage, currently idling on its legs, and watched the Golem trapped inside for a moment before answering.
"If the Golem can muster enough energy to smash through several layers of regular ice, then there would be some cause for worry."
A slab of new ice inchwormed over to Donia from the lake, rapidly melting and refreezing to pull itself over to the Houndoom with an amusing wiggling look to its movements. The frozen water, just about as thick as a human's hand, laid itself flat on the ground for the fire-type to test. Suicune returned her attention to Vulpix, a tail twirling gently over the curl in one of his own tails before untwisting to float around Vesi's back paws. The ice would probably not melt or break unless Donia somehow heated it while repeatedly striking one spot on the slab. With the Golem, however, the ice would not yield. The Goddess was sure of this, since her own consciousness was linked to the newly created cage. If the boulder-like Pokemon started to batter against the walls at one spot she could always reinforce her creation or turn the cage so the Golem hit a different part of the ice.
Both Bill and Flannery seemed to shy away from her cage, causing Suicune to blink curiously. Oh. She remembered that humans didn't see the feats and such of their Gods so often now, what with everyone's increasing duties and travels. With a small smile crossing her face Vesi laid down and nodded toward Bill's home again. In response to Flannery's question she hummed a neutral tone that rang smoothly into the air, seemingly an affirmative.
Donia's snarled warning toward the Golem sunk through Vesi's ice to echo slightly inside the cage, making the frozen water shimmer slightly as Suicune flicked an ear at the sound. It was lovely of the Houndoom to be so protective of her owner. The Goddess felt herself slipping back into that musing, if-only mood involving proper, gentle human-Pokemon interaction. Ah, how relaxing her role in the world would be if everyone exhibited the bonds she saw between Bill, Flannery and their Pokemon. Of course, it wouldn't have been much of a world and more of a...a story, a fairytale, a once-upon-a-time. The fleeting thought that those happy stories existed merely for the real world to pine away for such circumstances ran through Vesi's mind before she shooed the deep-thinking mood out of her body. Shifting her weight to the other shoulder, the blue-furred Pokemon leaned over to her right on the ground and let her legs stretch out to the left under her, head raised so she looked like a Persian interrupted from a nap. She could wait for the humans to change their clothes; of course she didn't much mind the silent time in between.

The touch of Flannery’s skin against his own insisted on sending ripples of heat through his nerves. Bill almost sighed; how long would he be able to handle being around a girl so…touchy? He had never been much for physical contact--in fact, he had hardly ever done it at all! Especially not to this extreme. Now he was receiving an overload of it, and worse yet, it was from a girl. Those things he had never had much luck with in school; but that was okay, he always had his studies. In fact, he much preferred them. He was much more comfortable sitting in front of a computer with a safe distance between himself and the screen than with a girl who couldn’t seem to keep herself off of him.
…He supposed it was flattering. A-and maybe it was okay. Either way, his mouth was a jagged, nerve-wracked line across his strawberry face and his thoughts were muddled whenever Flannery insisted herself on him. Bill glanced away from the enormous ice sculpture that kept the Golem from reaching them with its considerable claws and felt his eyes attract towards Flannery. She seemed to share the same feeling he did when it came to Suicune’s god-like (who was he kidding? She WAS a god) abilities.
With the approval from said god, Bill nodded in gratitude. He smiled uncertainly at Flannery, nudging the arm she draped gently towards his house. He almost wanted to laugh at her timid civility towards Suicune: he felt there was nothing to be cautious of--from what he had gathered through his studies and through this encounter, Suicune was a friendly, generous goddess. He understood her patience; it much resembled the water that she cleansed. ”Heh, come on,” Bill managed in a small voice, amiable all the same. He steered himself towards the house, wanting to make it quick for both Suicune’s and Golem’s sakes. Once he reached the door, he waited for Flannery to step inside first--the door had already been left open from when he had bolted in search for the troublesome Eevee.
Speaking of that adorably naughty little creature: Eevee had recovered from the initial shock Suicune’s manipulating had wrought. Peeking from beneath the fluff of her tail and determining that everything was A-okay, she leapt back into action--and by action, of course, she meant running around in circles around the other pokemon.
”Fetch’d,” Farfetch’d grumbled, lifting himself into the air once Eevee made her first round. Vulpix moaned with a roll of his eyes, his mood having easily changed even after Vesi had stroked his tails with her own.
The golem had been rendered silent for the moment. Its eyes followed the humans into the cottage. A low roar rumbled in the pit of its rocky stomach. It continued to emanate its anger in this manner, apparently having realized wasting its time pummeling at the ice molded around it was useless. It finally clunked down on its bottom, actually opting to sit while within its frozen containment. It appeared to be quite the annoyed pokemon.
