My Parents call me..
Well.
I don't know if I have any 'parents' - as in, those two guys who gave birth to you and whatnot - but Arceus and Mew both called me 'Emrit'. I guess they were really the guys who gave life to me - Arceus indirectly, because he made the universe and stuff. But they called me Emrit, which I personally think is THE worst name ever. So I made up a new one that's kind of like the old one so Arceus and his enormous squadron of Arcanine wouldn't get TOO angry.
My Friends call me..
Uhh... friends? I don't know about 'friends', but the name everyone always identifies me as (except in Ore or whatever that badly-named region was) is Mesprit. Just Mesprit. It's really nice, huh? It rolls off the tongue in that way that Emrit just doesn't! [MESPRIT beams.]

I'm... not really anything, actually. I'm just Mesprit when you're talkin' technical, you know? [MESPRIT looks at the machine in front of her as if she would get a reply.] Yeah. Well, jut because we all wanted to feel special, everybody - all the Legends, obviously - made up genders for themselves because we are ABOVE the generalization of 'it'! [MESPRIT snorts irritably.]

I am Mesprit Emrit, the one and only Goddess of Emotion. Do you like that title? I made it up myself! [MESPRIT smiles again, very proud of herself.]

I'm almost as old as the universe itself. How old is the universe, you ask? Well, i guess you could go pester Arceus, but seeing as you're nothing but a mere mortal he's probably not going to pay much attention to you. So if you could settle with 'Old but looks young' that would be nice. Because I do... right?!? [MESPRIT panics suddenly]
Do you think I need a diet?
Diet?
No, no, not at ALL! That chubby stuff is all in the (deluded) minds of the artists who portray me! I have seen some TERRIBLE artwork of myself... honestly, have you even SEEN the anatomy of a 'Sprit? I'm looking at you, Hearthome City ancient guys! I do NOT look like that, obviously, but somehow when I try to tell them to stop they never listen! And they don't respond either! I mean yeah, they're DEAD, but that shouldn't stop them from bowing before the might of ME!
[MESPRIT boils for a few minutes, rambling about seemingly-innocent things, then regains her composure and moves on.]
[MESPRIT sighs.] Anyway, I am totally stunning and entirely unmatched in my beauty, streamlined grace, and sheer power of... cute. Seriously. I'm not exactly Shaymin-cute, with glitter and (yummy, yummy, delicious, addictive) sugar sprinkled in the appropriate places, but nobody can deny that I am definitely NOT an eyesore to the rest of the world. In fact, they owe me quite a lot for gracing them with my presence.
In any case, some people like to compare my head to a human helmet... though Uxie's is probably more helmet-y than mine. Most of my face and the entire back and top half of my head is a beautiful, somewhat light pink color. I've got four pink floppy... things - two on each side of my head - that stick out when I'm angry or are summoning Ancient Mystical Powers (I've been told it makes me look like a Lucario), and just flop around kind of like human hair when I'm... not. I've got a LOVELY red gemstone in the center of my head - normally, I HATE red things, but this is just so pretty~
Oh yeah, and there's two more of 'em on my tail, but we can talk about that later.
My eyes are kind of lazy, but they're very beautiful and catlike and have this intresting yellow color to them. Azelf has it too, but Uxie never opens his eyes as far as I can remember, so I guess Mew just trusted that he's be part of the set or something. I've also got chibi little fangs, see? [she opens her mouth to show them; indeed, she does have Chibi Little Fangs] I learned the word 'Chibi' from Uxie... he speaks Orrian and it really makes me look smarter when I use strange words, doesn't it?
DOESN'T it? [MESPRIT glowers, frowning deeply at the camera.]
Okay, good. Well, moving right along, my body is long and thin and a very nice shade of light blue. My arms are kind of thin near the shoulders, but then they round out and by the time we reach my palms they're like... ovals or something. I have three fingers and two arms and two hands... DUH. Anyway, my feet are kinda scrunched up like Pokemon feet, but I guess that's okay because I'm technically a Pokemon... or maybe Mew ran out of ideas and designed me after her?
No clue. [MESPRIT shrugs.] Well, yeah. Anyway, I have two tails. Yup, that's right - TWO! Count 'em. [Her two tails fly around her as she spins so that we can, indeed, count 'em.] They're really spiky at the ends, but they're not like a weapon-on-a-stick or anything. I wasn't designed to kick butt. Though I can do it when I want to... [MESPRIT grins maniacally for a few beats before returning to her standard happy expression.] And there's one of those red gemstones on each one. Two in all. Ohhh, how they sparkle~~~
My emotional disposition?
Uhh, that's kind of a hard question... you know, seeing as I'm the goddess of Emotion and I don't have a set personality, you know? It's hard to describe, so please bear with me if I can't describe myself very well... [MESPRIT pauses, to think about how she would word it, and then begins.] Well, most if the time, I'm generally a nice person to be around. I have multiple personalities for all of the different emotions swirling around inside my head, but usually the one that shows is my happy, nice, somewhat childish and annoying one! Fun, huh?
Yeah, totally. I know, right?
I get mad a LOT, but it's not often that I get ANGRY. Yes, they're two different things; don't beg to differ because I'm the Goddess of EMOTION here and I know more than you on this kind of stuff. Anyway, mad is when you're just kind of irritated and get over it in a few days. But angry is just fuming, stomping, evil mad. I've only done THAT once, miraculously. Don't ask why. DON'T.

Things that are
- Me! If you don't like yourself, you'll never get anywhere, because nobody else will feel like you're a person they would want to talk to. I mean, it's kinda different for me because MOST PEOPLE [MESPRIT puts very strong emphasis on these words. I wonder who she's referring to?] are generally inclined to like me, but it's still a good lesson to learn!
- Flying over my lake! It's fun~
- Lots of other things I can't think of right now, but I might later. That happens sometimes.
Things that are
- Red things. I'm inclined against them, okay? I don't like red. Unless the red thing is my jewels, which are very pretty~
- Stoics. Seriously! A human who hides their emotions is just... inhuman! It's just so... so... so WRONG! Graargh, and especially so when they're just doing it as a personal philosophy. GRR. [MESPRIT fumes about things, and thankfully the machine delivers the next question before anything is seriously injured.]
- Magneton Man. GRR. I HATE HIM.
But..I'm afraid!

[MESPRIT's expression turns into one of fear.]
I don't mean to ramble on too long or anything, but stoic people - like I sad before. They kind of scare me. It's not... right. [MESPRIT shudders.] And when they've got it all sealed up in their bottle, you can't control them either! It's SCARY!
I like to...
I like to do a lot of things, actually!
Like flying around on top of my lake. It's so pretty when it's dawn and there's no Trainers stalking me for my amazingness... and then when the sun rises, it's all glittery and lovely and... [MESPRIT sighs contentedly.] Soooo pretty. And then there's using my powers to make Pokemon do whatever I want! It's kind of like mind control, really, but without all of the whole controlling the extra body functions like breathing and making the heart pump blood and stuff. Arceus doesn't let me do it too often, though, and even then he doesn't let me make it permanent... [MESPRIT sighs.] Too bad. It's lots of fun.
My reason?
I was BORN into it, being a Legendary and all that jazz. There's no other reason, you know? [MESPRIt shrugs and does a little somersault in the air] But it sure is fun!
Mandatory Angst:
I wish I could say it was a tragic tale of love, courage, and forgiveness, but I think the only one who was actually loved, forgiven, or in any way courageous was Arceus and maybe Azelf. MAYBE. But he was kind of a wimp back then. [MESPRIT snickers.] Before the three of us - Uxie, Azelf, and me - got our powers and responsibilities and other boring things like that. Now, when I have to talk about my history I usually have to recite the incredibly boring Creation Legend of Sinnoh... but I don't feel like it. I keep messing up when my subject matter is a bore. [MESPRIT begins to sigh, but stops and stares at the camera, horrified. Her scared face soon turns to fury.]
WHAT?
You think I don't REMEMBER? [MESPRIT'S voice drastically rises in pitch.] That... that I don't remember my BIRTH?
What is WRONG with you?!?
[MESPRIT fumes for a few minutes, and then calms down... only to be replace dwith a sobbing mess.]
I-i'm sorry... did I scare you? [MESPRIT sniffles.] Uhh... well, that was really just my anger coming out, because sometimes it has to do that... I'm not a blissful fluffcake all the time, you know... [she mumbles something under her breath about boulders and marble and Raichus... huh?]
Well, in any case... [MESPRIT regains her composure, clearing her throat quite loudly.] ...Mew was my origin. I know, you're going to say, "But, oh sensitive and courageous and wise Mesprit, didn't Arceus have the ingenuity to create your pure, untainted being?" Fortunately... no. Mew did it. Arceus just sat around to watch as Uxie and Azelf and me were created, then hopped into action with his creepy-glowy-eyes Arcanine and started rambling about how it was our duty to aid in the creation of the perfect beings or... something. [MESPRIT pauses for a few beats, taking a thinking pose. I wasn't paying attention, but I don't think it was important.
It was boring, and we accepted our powers and responsibilities and blah, and Arceus nodded and was all, "VERY WELL"- [at this point, MESPRIT does a rather biased-looking impersonation of Arceus; she screws up her features and speaks loud and very bluntly] -and he poofed away. And that's really all that's of use to you in your quest for my Angst.
...which, of course, I HAVE NONE OF!
I CAN REMEMBER NO ANGST! AND I REMEMBER MANY THINGS!!! [MESPRIT crosses her arms and raises her chin stubbornly. It'd probably be best to let her believe what she wants...]

{a BRELOOM walks in the room and points at itself. When MESPRIT turns around to investigate, the BRELOOM disappears into thin air.}

WHAAAAAT? [MESPRIT screams like a banshee.] You wanted that POKEMON'S writing instead of MINE? What is WRONG with you?
[she storms out of the room as a paper is slipped onto the desk by a red-and-tan claw...][/color]
Mesprit glanced around both ways before entering the Celestial Screening Room.
She was bored, and spying on the inhabitants of Earth was always a good cure for that. Peering outside of the door and once again checking the hallway of Up There for any other Legendaries, she nodded contentedly and slipped back inside the Room. She floated over to the center of the room and sat in an extremely comfortable leather chair, reaching over to the small pillar next to it to pick up the remote.
Thus the Goddess of Emotion went channel-surfing.
Now would be a wonderful time to explain what, exactly, Up There was. It is an enormous castle floating above the atmosphere, only accessible from a few locations across the Earth. Various traps and defenses had been set up around these places to remove unwanted invaders and allow in only the palace's desired occupants: the Legendaries of the world. Each Legend had their own rooms, as well as some common rooms - such as this one.
Another one of those rooms was the Spear Room, the meeting place where she should have been right now.
But those discussions Arceus always held were so boring... she had skipped them plenty of times, so why not today? Mesprit sighed softly as she repeatedly pressed the button on the remote; why was the world so boring today? Pondering this, Mesprit continued to click through the 'channels'.
"No... no... no... dear MEW, no... no... no..." were the repeated mutters that came out of her mouth. "Maybe I SHOULD go to the stupid meeting for a change. Okay, if I don't find anything within the next twenty channels, I'll-"
She dropped the remote on the floor with a loud clatter.
What was THAT? She thought. It looked like... oh Mew. Oh Mew, oh Mew, oh Mew! Meeeeeeeew, please don't let that be...[/i]
She picked up the remote control and slowly went backwards through the channels, strongly dreading what she would find when she found the one she had seen for a fraction of a second. When she did find the right one (or at least what she assumed was the right one), her fears were confirmed.

CYRUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!
Mesprit swore loudly and shut off the Screen. Fuming, she slammed open the door and immediately set off down the hallway. Did she stop to think about how she was letting her anger control her again? How what she was about to do could be catastrophic? What Uxie would think?
Nope.
All she was concerned with was finding out the when, where, how, and most importantly WHY Arceus hadn't given the Chainhead a life's sentence!
