Candice's Journal-DO NOT READ
Well, I was just thinking... while I'm here in Kanto, I should try keeping some sort of tab on everything that is going on, and make note of the adventures I have had here.
So shall I start at the beginning?
My day started very early in the morning- 5:30 to be precise. I had to get up early after all to finish packing and to rush down to port before the ship sailed away for Kanto-and that would be a tragic loss. It comes so rarely, after all, the ship between Snowpoint and Vermilion.
Have you ever found that no matter how much you pack and prepare the week/days before, there’s always something you have forgotten and need to go back for? It always happens to me. It’s a hereditary thing, I think. It’s exactly the same with my mother. Father doesn’t travel, so he’s fine… Anyway, half way to the small port, I’d remembered I hadn’t given the keys to the temple to my father to look after. Mid-leap, I changed directions (an astonishing feat, I must say) and sprinted back towards my house to barrel through the door and throw the bunch of small delicate silver keys at my astonished father who was sitting at the table trying to peacefully eat his breakfast.
“Don’t forget to lock up, Dad!” I shouted at him, skidding to a stop before I crashed into the aforementioned table, and ran out of the house again, slamming the door on my father, who was picking the bunch of keys from his cereal where they had fallen, with an amused look on his face. I was always like this- a complete scatterbrain, completely unorganised.
I had left everything in quite a mess back at home. My early start made me more careless than ever, and so there were bits of equipment and items lying about everywhere. It looked as if a whirlwind had torn through the upper floor. But my Dad could deal with it if it bothered him, which it probably wouldn’t; him being the laid back and oblivious person that he was.
I barely made it to the ship, just before it set off, and two minutes after I’d gotten on board, it revved its huge engines, reversed out of the port and sailed away, just on time. I watched it departing from one of the huge bay windows in the lounge. My father hadn’t bothered to watch me set off, as I had been away so many times on various adventures and suchlike, that it was nothing special. He’d simply said “good mornin’ ” before I’d rushed out the first time, and that was about it.
Soon after, the storm hit, but I’ve already mentioned that, so I won’t again.
The rest of the journey was spent unspectacularly battling some of the bored trainers on the ship, and getting in the way of the working sailors. The real fun began the minute I got off the ship at Vermilion, in Kanto, two days later. I’d been to Vermilion before, having often rushed through it up to Saffron City and without stopping turned to Celadon City for some shopping. I had often promised myself I’d explore Kanto more than just its department store, but this was the first time I’d carried out that promise. I asked in the fan club what were some of the sights I should visit, and listed them all- basically the whole region. But Lavender Tower was something that I chose to visit first. And that was how I ended up going to the Silent bridges, after a quick stop at the pokecenter for a checkup of my pokemon.

But I’ll tell you about that after I find it out myself!
Over and out for now,
