Mew
God/Goddess of Life
Mew is the one that breathed life into every living creature you see today. It is more or less the bringer of souls, and is responsible for restoring one during birth, and removing it after death and transporting it to a different body. Though a rather immature god/goddess, Mew is highly respected and loved by most of the population. Sweet and mischievous, Mew frequently shows itself to people. It is classified as a psychic type pokemon, because though she is capable of a wide array of attacks, it typically sticks to its psychic abilities and creating little pink bubbles.
WANTED BY TEAM ROCKET
Rayquaza
God of the Skies
Rayquaza rules the sky realm, and basically all that passes through it. He watches out for the world from above the clouds. Besides being responsible for cloud formations, Rayquaza actually does very little nowadays. He was the one that filled in the gaps between the ocean and the earth, and now that his work is done, he prefers to relish in the clouds. He tends to stick to up in the sky, and rarely you can see him come down below the cloudline, and even more rare, he'll often come close to the earth and approach travelers.
Groudon
God/Goddess of the Earth
Groudon is the one that manifested the world - just the base part, the continents created from its footsteps and roars. After Mew filled it with life and Rayquaza calmed it and Kyogre, Groudon lay in rest in the mountains. It would be very, very, stupid to wake it up - and we certainly hope that it won't wake up on his own. The common population is very fearful of Groudon, tales of its and Kyogre's massive fight flying from tongue to tongue.
WANTED BY TEAM MAGMA
Kyogre
God/Goddess of the Sea
And Kyogre is the one that manifested the waters, the oceans formed from the beating of its wings and the pitch of its bellows. After Rayquaza intercepted and calmed him and Groudon down, Kyogre took refuge in the sea. Again, it would be quite dumb to wake it up, and we're all hoping it doesn't arise soon. The population also is terrified of Kyogre. Though it has a more amiable personality, its power and hatred with Groudon is terrifying.
WANTED BY TEAM AQUA
Ho-Oh
God/Goddess of the Sun
Ho-Oh was created with the birth of the world, and its soaring over the skies and vanishing over the horizon represents the rising and falling of the sun. Ho-Oh is one of the most sacred gods, known for its bright and glowing feathers and calm and rational personality. The bird enjoys mingling with people, though typical is seen soaring overhead. It brings warmth and a sense of happiness to whoever she sees.
Lugia
God/Goddess of the Moon
Flying through the skies in the opposite direction of Ho-Oh is Lugia, the silent and benevolent God of the Moon. It too was created the same day as the world's birth, but unlike its counterpart, Lugia distances himself from people, preferring to watch from a distance. Though seemingly cold and detached, Lugia cares very much for all those it watches over during the night. Rarely seen, Lugia instills a sense of understanding and calm to those who gaze upon its silver feathers.
Latios
God of Men
Also known as the Spirit of Courage and Strength of Will, Latios was created when the first sentient thoughts ran through the sons and daughters of Mew. Disguising himself through Illusion, Latios is always amongst the humans, guiding the ones who require his help. Often, in times of strife, Latios will appear before the ruling figure and give them priceless words of wisdom. This is why, through the ages, Latios is often called the King's Helper.
Latias
Goddess of Women
Born when the first sentient thoughts ran through the earth, Latias is also known as the Spirit of Kindness and Sacrifice. She walks among the humans, cloaked in an illusion, caring for those she watches over. When suffering descends upon the children of the world, Latias will appear before Queens and Mothers to help guide their children. This has lead to her more common name as the Queen's Advisor.
Zapdos
God/Goddess of Weather
Born with the first fall of lightning, Zapdos could be clarified as the god of bad weather. A large and radiant bird with sharp yellow feathers, its soaring through the skies brings storms across the region. Whenever this majestic god is spotted, it typically is the harbinger of foul weather - typically thunderstorms, but also frequently tsunamis, tornadoes, volcanoes, hurricanes, and other disasters depending on the region as well as its mood. A testy god and prone to temper resulting in large disasters, Zapdos usually does not appear before humans lest it is seen on its trek around the globe or has a personal grudge against some being. In order to protect the safety of the populations - human and pokemon alike - this bird is typically trailed by the three dogs: Raikou, Suicune, and Entei.
Moltres
God/Goddess of Spring and Summer
Manifested with its "sibling" or at least "cohort", Moltres is another large bird composed completely of flames licking from its body. And obviously, where ever it ventures, it gives off extreme warmth. This being is the reason for "heat fronts" and overall high temperatures, the contrast to its other "sibling" who is the reason for "cold fronts" and overall low temperatures. However, with their mutual agreement, during the spring and summer Moltres is able to fly close to the ground and cast its radiance across the region, causing the temperature to overall rise and everything to become warmer.
Articuno
God/Goddess of Winter and Fall
The last of the three birds, Articuno is composed of ice-like feathers: translucent and extremely cold to the touch. And thus where ever it goes, it gives off extreme cold.. This being is the reason for "cold fronts" and overall low temperatures, the contrast to its other "sibling" who is the reason for "warm fronts" and overall high temperatures. However, with their mutual agreement, during the fall and winter Articuno is able to fly close to the ground and cast its frigidity across the region, causing the temperature to overall lower and everything to become colder.
Raikou
Wind of Natural Disasters (Tornadoes and Thunderstorms)
It is unknown where the three canines were originally born, though they began appearing across the land when Zapdos first appeared and have been surfacing for as long as anyone can remember. The first dog is Raikou, resembling much of a saber-tooth tiger and is completely yellow with black stripes across his fur. Known for his speed, he has the uncanny ability to be able to predict (and create) tornadoes and thunderstorms and the overall approach of Zapdos. A solitary creature, he typically does not show himself to people lest to warn them of a coming storm or disaster.
Entei
Wind of Natural Disasters (Volcanoes and Earthquakes)
Entei appeared around the same time as Raikou, and has been around since about the dawn of time. Entei resembles some sort of lion, having long brown fur and a billowing silver mane. Known for his strength, Entei has the uncanny ability to predict (and create) volcanoes and earthquakes and the overall approach of Zapdos. Less timid then Raikou, Entei shows his face more than his "sibling" but also does not usually appear unless there is a coming disaster.
Suicune
Wind of Natural Disasters (Tsunamis and Hurricanes)
And same with her two siblings, Suicune has been around for centuries and it was rumored that all three of them were created with the fall of Zapdos, who was born in the first strike of lightning when a thunderstorm, earthquake, and tsunami all collided on the coast. Anyway, Suicune resembles a cheetah, covered in short blue fur with diamonds speckling her coat. Known for her additional purification ability, Suicune has the uncanny ability to predict (and create) tsunamis and hurricanes and the overall approach of Zapdos. Less timid still then her other "siblings", she is seen more frequently then the other two, but typically only appears to foretell an ocean-related disaster.
Celebi
God/Goddess of Time Travel
The small green pokemon is light-hearted and friendly and it has been speculated that there is more than one due to its uncanny ability to be in multiple places at one time. However, there is only one Celebi who was born as Ho-Oh and Lugia rotated about the world. Celebi has the ability to stop or speed up time, as well as travel back and forth. It is rumored that with the death of this little legendary that time would cease to exist and the world would be thrust into a standstill. Celebi is generally seen as very playful and a friend to humankind.
Jirachi
God/Goddess of Hope
Jirachi was born from thousands of prayers in times of peril and appeared to restore hope to the miserable population. Unfortunately, it is very rare that this pokemon awakes, for every time that it performs a miracle and restores hope, its energy is drained and it is forced to lay back into slumber. Its sleeping form appears just as a purple rock and can be found where ever it deems it fit to sleep. Jirachi only awakens in time of desperate need or during a disaster, and can be wooed to consciousness through pure-hearted prayers. Jirachi is one of the most respected and loved gods, and people go through their entire life searching for its resting place.
Deoxys
Deoxys are not officially a legendary, but rumors have been going through the population that they are. About a hundred years ago
Uxie
Being of Knowlege
Uxie, born into this world as one of three, slept at the very peak of the tallest mountain in the world. It is said that Uxie awakened when humans first began to think, and gifted the primitive people of long ago with knowledge and intuition, allowing them to survive and adapt to their world. It's job done however, Uxie sank to the depths of a legendary lake, whose name and location has been lost to time, to sleep until it's power would once again be needed.
Mesprit
Being of Emotion
Mesprite, born as the second of three, slept in an egg a top a mountain until Humans began to feel basic emotions. Feeling the call of so many tiny voices, Mesprite is said to have descended upon the humans and gave them the ability to feel a wide range of emotions. Once it's job was done, Mesprite was said to have taken refuge at the bottom of one of three legendary lakes, but awakens from time to time, to play with the humans and remind them of their nature.
Azelf
Being of Willpower
Born of the same egg as Uxie and Mesprite, Azelf is the youngest, yet strongest of the three. At the dawning of mankind, Azelf gifted courage and willpower to the new race, allowing them to overcome obstacles and reach for their dreams. Unlike the other two, Azelf only rarely returns to the legendary lake that is it's Haven, preferring rather to fly amongst the humans, blessing them with the determination and courage they require.
Dialga
God/Goddess of Time
No one knows just when the Deity of Time came into existence, but it is a common belief that this deity holds complete control over time, even believed to be capable of initiating and ending time loops, a phenomena not even Celebi is capable of. Able to completely stop time, small swaths of forest Dialga has touched on this world seem to be frozen in that moment for eternity. For reasons unknown Dialga has an intense hatred for the Deity of Space, Palkia, such that should the two ever meet, it is feared that the end of existence would be brought about by their battle with each other. Dialga never steps out of the dimension it rules from, and we shall all hope that it never does.
Palkia
God/Goddess of Space
Palkia cannot quite be called the Deity of Space, so much as the deity of dimension and reality. With its powers, Palkia can connect doors to rooms hundreds of miles away, or create a subspace within the door, making a door to nowhere suddenly a door to a great room. It is said that the shifting continents it not only due to the moving crust of the earth, but due in part to Palkia's whim. Palkia resides within a dimension betwixt and between time and space, and does not often venture out of it. The last time this deity was seen, was nearly three thousand years prior, where it engaged in a dimension rending battle with the Deity of Time, Dialga.

Cresselia
Goddess of Night
Often confused to be the Goddess of the Moon, Cresselia is actually the ruler of the night, and bringer of sleep. She sails on wings the color of the stunning sunsets she follows, and is capable of curing those lost in the world of nightmares. Not much is known about this goddess, as she is far more reclusive than the others. Researchers who have sought the deity out always seem to mysteriously fall into a deep sleep the moment they set eyes upon Cresselia, though it is said that a psychologically injured creature would be healed if they were ever to gaze into her eyes.
