AND ALL IS WELL
Everything is peaceful in the region of Kanto. For the most part, but we'll get into the later. The cities live in harmony with another and it is set up perfectly inviting young trainers to step forward into the wide old world. For ages Kanto has had a tradition of doing more then just taming the wild animals named "Pokemon". They had taken use of their abilities and pitted them against each other in a sort of legal dog-fighting act. Working together as pokemon and master, teams of a human and up to six pokemon fight their way through the entire region, defeat elite gym leaders, and finally step up to try and be the greatest trainer in their region. But of course, no one starts at the top. Thanks to the four professors in this region - Professor Oak of Pallet Town, Professor Birch of Pewter City, Professor Elm of Celadon City, and Professor Ivy of Cinnabar Islands - trainers from all over can gather and gain their first basic pokemon. Using this creature, the trainer can make it grow stronger and use it to defeat and capture other pokemon in their league to travel around the entire region.[/blockquote]
The Professors:
Professor Samuel Oak is perhaps the oldest and most experienced professor, residing in Pallet Town. He is mostly an easy-going guy, but tends to get forgetful when focusing on his studies, and once he begins something he finds it difficult to stop. Focusing on human and pokemon relationships, if you take a visit to Pallet Town, Professor Oak would be happy to grant you your first pokemon. And next we have Professor Daniel Birch, who resides in Pewter City. The most outgoing of the professors, he prefers to spend his time outdoors and has a rather reckless and carefree attitude. Focusing on pokemon habitats, if you take a visit to Pewter City, Professor Birch would be happy to grant you your first pokemon. And next we have Professor Nathaniel Elm, living in Celadon City. The youngest of the professors, he was Professor Oak's top student and is filled with knowledge just ready to spill out. He is intensely focused on studying and often zones out of conversations. Focusing on pokemon breeding, if you take a visit to Celadon City, Professor Elm would be happy to grant you your first pokemon. And lastly we have Professor Felina Ivy from Cinnabar ISland. A rather new professor and the only female, Professor Ivy is very beautiful but dedicated to her research. Focusing on pokemon evolution, if you take a visit to Cinnabar, Professor Ivy would be happy to grant you your first pokemon.
The Gym Leaders:
to come.

THE MINOR PROBLEMS
Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua.[/blockquote]
The latter two are hardly known around these regions, but the first one is the primary peace-disturber. Ignoring the frivolous and oddly-dressed young adults that galavant the streets with ploys to overtake the world in water or land, the region of Kanto is turning its attention to more persistent problems. And that would be Team Rocket.
Team Rocket:
Mostly like a giant, well-thought-out gang that overtakes the entire region. Any city you visit, they're there. They expand in huge numbers and are distinguished by their sleek black uniforms and their oftenly strange dyed hair. Team Rocket's intentions are unknown, but causing misery for the populations seems to be numero uno. They do anything from shoplifting to blatant murder of pokemon and people alike, and everything in between. Their control has extended through a few selective cities that they called their "hideouts", and because of their extremely strong pokemon, the local police forces haven't been able to dispell them. It's been more like vice versa. Team Rocket's boss is hardly ever seen and remains a shady profile, but wanted signs cling to the walls depicting pictures of their supreme elites. Team Rocket currently has possession of Saffron City, and though it is on the down-low, it is rather obvious that they also have extreme control over the Silph Headquarters.
Team Magma:
A fairly new team and not really a rival to Team Rocket. Team Magma is just beginning to form together, and the population is slowly starting to take them a tad more seriously. More seriously then laughing in their face. It's like that "HAH... oh wait, you weren't kidding" sort of moment. However, out of Team Magma and Team Aqua, the civilians are a tad more suspicions and wary of these guys. Team Magma has a reputation of being more barbaric then their rivals, and while the head of the team occasionally shows his face, the "FireHeads" are the ones typically causing all the chaos. His three commanders - as it's been decided - are given an order and take it out in any way they please, which is usually the most direct and the most dangerous. Team Magma has never been seen living in a city, but typically pop up around Pewter City a lot.
Team Aqua:
And lastly, we have Team Aqua. Once everyone has gotten over "why do you guys look like pirates lol" thing, well... okay. Team Aqua still isn't as respected, and mostly just get snubbed. Their exploration for Kyogre is fruitless, and they tend to not interfere with the common population unless they need something important. Like their barbaric counterparts, their leader only comes out now and again, and the "SSS" - "Subleaders of the Sea Scheme" - carry out most of his wills. Unlike the FireHeads, the SSS isn't exactly and team and don't really listen to or respect each other. And while the FireHeads don't tend to respect their boss, the SSS are completely loyal and tend up being pawns of their boss' ideas. Like Team Magma, Team Aqua's base is unknown, though they are frequently seen near Fuschia City.
