The Entei’s motives weren’t quite clear to Gary. He braced himself as the legend stepped toward him with those enormous paws and his eyes jumped in search of the Entei’s purpose. There was no doubt that the pokemon’s incredible presence was a threat in and of itself. Even so, Gary was confident enough to know how to handle himself… sort of. Squirtle felt tense at his feet, and Gary wasn’t quite sure how he felt about Squirtle clinging onto his pants. Of course Squirtle felt threatened, or awkward, even--the small pokemon couldn’t protect his trainer, that was for certain, even if their lives depended on it.
Once again, the explosion of a voice emanated inside Gary’s head and smothered his thoughts. This time, Squirtle seemed to hear it too, as his tiny blue fingers flexed his grip on Gary’s pants. The boy frowned--how was he supposed to know where Molly was? How did Entei even know about her in the first place, and furthermore, why did he even care? Didn’t he have volcanoes to erupt to or something? “What, she’s not at home?” Gary replied, not caring to suppress any obnoxious hint in his nasal tone. Once he spoke, however, he contemplated his own retort: had Entei gone looking for Molly, and not found her? Either way, he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to help Entei out. He had no idea what the supposed God wanted to do with Molly, and Gary wouldn’t put it past the creature to have some sort of disagreeable motive.
When Entei’s attention appeared to be diverted, Gary followed his gaze, though his expression remained hardened and alert. The boy noticed the movement of the grass, but it was too tall to see anything through it. He speculated as to what would catch Entei’s interest like that. Another Dog? Gary remained on the look-out.

Plusle stopped short as he looked ever-so-slightly peered up to see a humongous dog-like pokemon standing before him. "Plu, Plu?"Plusle asked intriguingly. These words probably stood for "What are you doing here?" or as far as anyone could tell. Minun had finally caught up with his brother only to have the same reaction but with quite a lot more fear put into it. Minun decided it best to hide behind his brother for protection as Plusle had always been the more adventurous one.
"There you are!" Tory called as he caught up behind Minun. "Whoa", he said stopping in his running tracks. "What is that?", Tory asked pulling out an old hand-me-down pokedex that had been recently updated when he left on his journey. "Entei, the Demonic-Dog pokemon". Tory stopped the Pokedex from saying anything further. "Demon dog?, That doesn't sound right", Tory mumbled marveling over the mighty pokemon that stood before his presence. But he did have to keep in mind it was by mere coincidence that he arrived here.
Tory couldn't stop staring at the pokemon. Perhaps it was a legendary he had so heard of long before? He continued to stare at the pokemon for quite some time before Minun broke his gaze by climbing onto Torie's shoulder with pure fear in his eyes. "Minun be still", Tory mumbled frustrated at the fact that Minun was squealing and climbing all over Tory. Finally Tory was able to grasp Minun in his arms so that he could temporarily keep him still.
All this time Tory had been paying no mind to what Plusle's reaction to all this was. But when he did finally get the chance to look down and take interest in his own pokemon, Tory saw that Plusle was softly growling as sparks came from his cheeks. "Whats the matter with you?", Tory mumbled as he stood his ground, not sure whether to move closer of farther from Plusle's aim point. Plusle continuously gave out growls and sparks as it stood on all fours glaring at the wild pokemon before him. Or so they all supposed it was wild.

At Gary's more than rude answer, he growled in annoyance. The very ground shook with a low rumble, making a few Pidgey and Spearow fly off in fright and surprise as well as a few Ratata scurry away. Entei was visibly angered by such a simple remark and tone of voice- even though Gary had no way of knowing where Molly Hale was. The very air around him seemed to become more asphyxiating as the scent of smoke and fire increased.
"Do you not know who you're speaking to?!"
He asked Gary, his telepathic voice filled with rage at the insolent human. He was just like that other boy that had thought he could fight him as well. Is that what he wanted? A fight? Entei would surely grant that wish.
"I am Entei! The God of Earthquakes and Volcanoes!"
Entei looked down at the electric mouse as it questioned him, though he gave the impression that he hadn't heard it as he didn't answer. Another small Pokemon which looked just like the other one with only a few coloration differences caught up to the Plusle. Through his never-ending races around the world, he had seen these types of Pokemon before and very rarely did he ever spot them without one another. Even he didn't know why they were just about always together. He could easily see that Plusle was the more courageous of the two, as Minun was hiding behind the red and yellow Pokemon.
He glanced at the younger trainer as he grabbed a device which he had ocassionaly seen a few trainers use on him if he was in one place long enough. Little did he know, this boy had his own connection to a "God" Pokemon himself, though he would most likely never know as he usually didn't take an interest in humans. The trainer was definetly inexperienced, as his Pokemon were either too bold or too cowardly- neither of which were good qualities in loyal Pokemon. Not that Entei cared anyway, he didn't care for Pokemon trainers or their counterparts. Except for Molly, of course- even though the girl hadn't been officially old enough to become a Pokemon trainer at the time.
Hearing a small growl, he looked back at the Plusle. The sight was almost enough to make him laugh. Such a small Pokemon dared to take on him? How foolish. Entei stepped away from Gary, who had been absolutely no help to him, and towards the small electric type. Annoying little pest...it wouldn't be so cocky after he was through with it. Opening his mouth and baring his canines, he let out a rather loud growl to show the Plusle he wasn't going to show any mercy.
"You dare to challenge me?"
Letting out a jet of flame, he used his Flamethrower attack- not caring if he even killed the annoying little Pokemon with his powerfull attack.

Gary’s eyes shot to the ground as it began to shake beneath his boots. Loose dirt scattered at his feet, and the grass shook on all sides, rustling and rustling; Gary visibly balanced himself against the attack--although the shaking wasn’t incredibly violent, he prepared himself for the worst. He glanced upwards through his thick hair, braced as he took on the full blow of Entei’s wrath. His eyes stung and threatened to cry, and the same sensation flew up his nostrils and invaded his pores. The air grew thick with invisible smog. Now he knew he had done something wrong. The gigantic pokemon’s voice was just as dreadful as his appearance, and rattled his eardrums with loud, booming cries. The shaking doubled as Entei spoke; even through telepathy, the syllables had their impact on the earth. Gary clenched his teeth and tensed his muscles in an attempt to remain standing and unscathed, and his fingers dug into his palms. He had angered the creature now--Gary decided it definitely wasn’t worth whatever he had done, and thought it might be better to just try to be as indifferent or polite as possible. Before he could gather his senses, Entei’s attention was averted, and Gary’s followed.
A boy had burst through the wall of grass. He pulled out a pokedex--it didn’t look as if he had gotten it from his grandpa, (anytime recently, anyway, as it was too retro). Gary eyed the boy curiously, though annoyance twitched at his brow. He straightened his spine slightly at this interruption, but kept one eye on the pokemon wielding a God’s power at all times. He frowned at the boy’s plusle. Squirtle, spectating at his feet, was incredibly wary about the whole situation.
Gary’s eyes snapped back to Entei as the pokemon made a movement. He inhaled audibly and stumbled slightly backwards once the intimidating pokemon opened its maw to reveal a menacing set of teeth. The growl sent a wave of hot air over Gary, rippling his hair and clothes, burning his eyes. Squirtle shielded his face with his arms, and the disturbed fur on the tip of his curled tail stood on end. By the time they had re-oriented themselves towards Entei, the Legendary pokemon had attacked.
This was not something Gary could stand by and let happen, no matter what the odds against him were. Sure, he normally didn’t spare apparent weaklings or incompetents a glance (other than to taunt them,) but he couldn’t allow the beast of a pokemon attack the kid.
“Squirtle!” Gary yelled, clenching his fists and not turning back. Squirtle knew exactly what to do, and braced himself before tearing his feet from the ground and aiming the strongest tackle he could muster at Entei’s leg. Gary, meanwhile, prepared for some sort of getaway by running in the opposite direction of the boy and reaching for Squirtle’s pokeball. Right now, negotiating anything with this Legendary was out of the question--no matter how much of an opportunity he was screwing up.

"Plu!"Plusle growled as it let out a quick shot of a thunder bolt. The thunder ripped a hole in Entei's blast of fire but barely kept the fire from burning and singeing Plusle's fur. Plusle had experienced something like this not to long ago, perhaps with a pokemon ranger? No that couldn't have been so, he had no recollection of being anywhere else before Tory came along so there was no sense in wondering about such things at this time of matters.
Pusle wavered back and forth but kept to his feet. He let out another bolt of thunder that he tried to intentionally cover Entei's body with. This bolt was not for attack it was merely for interaction, Plusle and other electric types were able to send transmissions through their thunderbolt to another thunder-type pokemon, but perhaps since this beast who claimed himself a "God" would get the same chatter that any other thunder-type would get out of the bolt. Plusle sent out two or three more saying that he wasn't about to loose interactions with such a proclaimed noble beast as "Entei God Of Earthquakes and Volcanoes" or that was as far as Tory could tell.
Tory stood in the midst of all this as he turned his attention to Gary on the other side of Entei. Who was this trainer, and why was Entei so keen on getting answers from him? Tory felt that there was such an insignificant force in himself, like he was small compared to everything around him, smaller than Plusle, smaller than Minun, wasn't there an ounce of good he could do in this situation. He didn't know whether it best to pull Plusle away from all this or let him stay and negotiate with the "Legendary God". These were all very confusing matters and questions that Tory felt he would never be able to answer.
One thing Tory wondered about the most was, if this was a "Legendary God" were there more like him lurking around the shadows awaiting a human presence to come along and get stricken? Or was Tory just simply mistaking the Legends for something of Demons rather than Gods, for as his pokedex said, a Demon Dog Pokemon. In the other hand his Pokedex was the down version of everyone-else's. Which brings us back to this all was very confusing.

[k im posting cuz I wanna get gary outta here] Once Gary had gotten the poke ball free from his belt, he reached it behind him as he ran and pointed it towards his pokemon. He grit his teeth as the red light shot from the ball, but he could only glance for a moment before looking towards where he was heading through the grass. The large form of Entei appeared to decrease in size, and was soon engulfed by the tall meadow reeds. Squirtle returned to his pokeball, and Gary’s legs continued pumping beneath him, bringing him away from the boy the Entei had been hostile towards. He hoped the Entei would follow him. That, or lose interest in both of the trainers. He didn’t want to have to leave that other trainer alone to deal with Entei, but Gary was almost positive the Legendary would flee or try to track him--Entei was curious about Molly for some reason, and Gary was something of a valuable connection to that extent. Still, he continued weaving through the grass, and headed in the direction of Viridian City.

Plusle began to weaver back and forth until finally he sighed and fainted to the ground. "Plusle!" Tory said as he ran to his small Pokemon's aid. Minun closely at his heels began to panic and shiver at the sight of fainted plusle. Tory only had two choices, face Entei himself, or run. He knew that it was crucial to get Plusle some help and either way he was still unsure about whether Entei was merely searching for something or searching to take someone out, perhaps even kill them? Tory looked over two where he saw the other trainer begin to run.
Tory gave another sigh and picked Plusle up to emerge from where he knelled and run. At first he just stood there with the fainted and rather burnt looking Plusle in his arms and the rather frightened looking Minun on his shoulder. He didn't know what it was, but Entei's presence seemed a bit familiar, as if this had happened before. Perhaps it was only a mere type of Dejavou and he had seen this in a dream? But how could it be just that? It felt like something more, as if he had been here or in the presence of a legendary God before, but where, and how?
Before he had a chance to come to realization, Minun began to tug on his blue sweater, as if trying to force hi to go now. "Right, thanks Minun", Tory said to the Pokemon as he started off into some tall grass. He could hear Plusle muttering a few words. Something made him stop. Tory turned to glance toward the Legendary God once more, this creature, this Pokemon of greatness, couldn't possibly be as bad as it sounded, perhaps he was merely only mistaken?
Tory couldn't put his mind on what was going on, but he felt as if he couldn't leave this place, as if he somehow belonged here, something telling him to stay here. Although as he turned to look down at poor Plusle he knew he had to go and that staying here would only make things bad for Plusle's condition. And so he turned the other direction and started to run off once again. The whole time Torie's mind kept him occupied, told him things, kept him thinking. About the legendary God, about if Plusle would be alright, about why Minun was such a good battler but wouldn't dare point power at someone else. And so he just kept running.
But now there was the thought that finally sank in, the other person. Who was he? Tory stopped again, not because of Entei, cause he wanted to turn the other direction and follow Gary. The other trainer that had been with Entei before Tory was there, and so Tory turned to follow after Gary, perhaps he would lead Tory somewhere he could get some help for poor Plusle, and perhaps somewhere where civilization resided waiting and ready to give Tory a little more supplies than he had.

He couldn’t believe he was doing this. Running away from a Legendary Pokemon. A Legendary Pokemon who had approached him, no less. Gary’s legs continued pumping beneath him, crunching against the firm soil and pushing aside the deterring tall grass.
‘C’mon, Entei, come after me,’[/I] Gary willed, scrunching his brow in his wishing. He didn’t know what he would do--why couldn’t his pokemon be strong already? It absolutely SUCKED to have to start out so weak. Gary grit his teeth at this fact and almost grinded them together, his ears began to pound against his skull, ‘I need to be stronger…’[/I]
Gary’s attention was torn away from his own angry thoughts, away from the sound of grass brushing against his jeans to another sound coming from behind him. After a moment of hideous realization--could it be Entei? He had his doubts--he chanced a glance over his shoulder.
It was that little boy. The one with the obstructing plusle. Gary’s mind robotically placed the blame on this kid, or at least focused his irritation on him. He had annoying blue hair that stuck out in odd places, and was harboring that aforementioned plusle in his pale arms. He certainly had the look of a helpless, naïve kid that would only prove to be more annoying as time went on. Gary turned back to look ahead of him and continued running. By the look of that frail trainer behind him, it wouldn’t take long to lose the brat.
“Whaddyou want?” he shouted back without another glance, raising his voice over the brushing of grass and the clapping of feet against the ground.
