Damion's temporary school for the fast.

“It's a tough world out there Sonic. You've gotta get fast to keep up with it.”

Yes it was a totally serious speech. The attitude was totally serious too; even the environment had turned totally serious and silent. Damion was sure it was paying respect to the situation as he paced forward, trainer sinking into the ground most solidly and over dramatically. The corporate logo on the soles of the shoes still managed to leave a mark on the soil of the meadow. Of course, after receiving his pokemon the blonde had taken to frantically running away from the laboratory. He wasn't that far away but he really just wanted to hurry up and start training. Hence why he had released his Slowpoke which had taken to lounging out along the grass and he attempted to teach her the moral values of speed.

“I mean, if you can't keep up...”[/b] he breathed, trailing off dramatically and perhaps unintentionally making himself look like a moron and repeated,” if you can't keep up you don't deserve to survive. You know what I'm saying?”[/b]

The pink pokemon appeared not to, merely tilting a head and disturbing gaze up. It made no sound and Damion sighed irritated; clearly this reaction, or lack of such, was not something he wanted.

“Come on Sonic, you can do it! Don't believe in yourself; believe in me who believes in you!”[/b] the trainer did indeed cheer most enthusiastically as if a bolt of pure zealousness/idiocy had struck him. The Slowpoke however clearly was not struck by this either and once again made no reply or even a reaction to imply that it even heard the words

Oh how the enthusiasm was dissolving. Damion finally sighed, stepping close to the Slowpoke and crouching to be eye-level with the pink thing.

“Why can't you be... A little more awesome?”[/b] the blonde murmured, resorting to whining. Okay so maybe he was being a little childish,“ Or a little more fast. We all have to make beginnings...”[/b]

There was a single blink from the Slowpoke then. This was progress. This was definitely progress. And slowly the pink pokemon opened its mouth and the trainer felt happiness well up and overflow inside of him as if the water type were a child taking her first steps.

“Sloooooooooooow...”

The word. The disgusting word. Damion begun to feel like his insides were dissolving as the pokemon drew it out in a disturbing mantra. Joy cracked away and instead depression made its way onto the boy's expression. Why... Why was the Slowpoke torturing him so?

“That's it!”[/b] the boy cried out finally, grabbing the pink pokemon which didn't seem to realize such was going on. It appeared the trainer was trying to pull her up and make her move but she was rather heavy and hence quite a struggle begun. Perhaps it was inevitable then, when Damion finally lifted the Slowpoke up, that he lost balance. Luckily not much had changed from the crouching position and therefore it wasn't as painful as it could have been when he toppled backwards, the pink abomination settling and crushing his rib cage. So there he was, sprawled out on the grass with a freakin' heavy pokemon... Was it cuddling up to his chest?

“Sloooowww...”
“I hate my life.”

Something smelled nice. It wasn't a flower; none that he had smelled before, anyway. It wasn't the scent of grass on the wind. It wasn't the smell of coming rain, so what was it? Budew tilted his yellow head into the sky, twitching the middle of his face where his nose should be. It made him feel like peaches.

"Dew."

The peaceful pokemon headed in the direction of the pleasant fragrance. His body was a stem, a beautiful shade of green, that twisted above his head into a bud just waiting to blossom, he knew it. His tiny, yellow little feet hardly took him anywhere. His little body wobbled as he waded through the grass that he could hardly see over.

Budew was a simple pokemon. He wasn't sure how long he had known the world, but he was certain he wasn't new. He didn't know who his parents were, but he found enough comfort in the smell and feel of nature. The only thing he knew about the world was scent, as his hearing wasn't the greatest, and when he opened his eyes, the world was bleary and uncertain. But the grass in front of him was clear and real and it existed, and that was all that mattered.

Except for this new scent, this tantalizing aroma; he had to find out what it was. A new flower, perhaps? He did enjoy flowers.

"Budew." His voice was soft and sweet and contained the consistency of honey droplets that might float on the wind. He squeaked as he slowly wobbled forward, eager to find the source of this new scent.

And, suddenly, he found it--the smell became overwhelming and filled his tiny body at the very same time that he fell into a soft pillow of yellow color. At first, he was surprised, and a tiny noise of alarm escaped him. It was muffled once his face was engulfed by the soft, nice-smelling mass, and he decided he was quite comfortable.

Little did he know that what he had fallen into was actually the hair of a boy who laid on the ground.

What was this; a molestathon or something?

Damion had quickly been drawn into a manic depressive state from lying so still for so long. Out of all the lazy, disgusting pokemon in the world to sprawl out on his stomach it had to be an eccentrically heavy one. That was where the ‘molestathon’ part came in because something was fricken’ touching his hair.

The blonde generally adored the chaotic state of his hair. In fact, he hated it being touched over all because people would mess it up (or neaten it one might suppose would be more tragic). Something was up there however, invading his personal space and feeling up his beautiful golden locks. A small part of him wanted to go crazy and attempt to bat away the thing up there but there were two factors preventing him from doing so. The first one was indeed that the Slowpoke was heavy and already his arms were exhausted from trying to push Sonic however there was another the fact that what was up there was most probably a pokemon. Either that or a very, very little person and if it was a very, very little person the blonde probably would have been equally excitable.

“Sonic! Get offa me!”[/b] he yelled out rather loudly and obnoxiously suddenly filled with those fires of enthusiasm and youth yet again,” There’s a Pokemon! Pokemon! Fight it!”

The slowpoke appeared this time to actually recognize that yes Damion opened his mouth and yes sounds did come out. She rolled slightly across the trainer’s chest somewhat in order to answer this call - such which made a slight pained sound escape Damion but did not quell his enthusiasm. Blinking she merely exchanged glances with the blonde who could already feel his fires of enthusiasm and youth being extinguished by that disturbing look.

“I mean… We’ll hug later or somethin’,”[/b] he said and would have shrugged helplessly if he was not being crushed by the Slowpoke. Yet this did draw a reaction.

Ayup. C’est un miracle. The Slowpoke started moving. At the thought of interaction with her trainer (something Damion had no intention of following through and would most probably for the future sleep with a baseball bat in hand) the pink pokemon begun slowly but surely on her journey. This, much to Damion’s dismay, was across his body.

Well, Sonic didn’t want to get off and walk around it appeared and the blonde understood that it was faster. Still rather uncomfortable as she got up and stepped along his torso, eventually stepped on his chin and making her way across his face.

Oh how Damion wanted to slaughter it slightly at that moment. He somehow managed to refrain however and remember the task at hand which was the thing in his hair. The thing in his hair.

“Sonic, do somethin’… Oh, tackmmfh!”[/b] he tried to say but was interrupted as the paw (but it wasn’t really a paw and that made it all the more disgusting) he could only hope accidently slipped in his mouth. The Slowpoke appeared not to notice but Damion saw the look in her eye…

”Sloow…”[/b]

“Tackle!”[/b] he finally yelled out as the pokemon withdraw her foot from his mouth,” Just for the love of Mew tackle![/b]”

And finally the slowpoke did and with a groan pushed herself off the forehead of Damion and appeared to roll down slightly, aiming for the Budew.

Ouch. Something very loud was going on here. There Budew was, peacefully minding his own business while absorbing this fresh aroma of butterscotch and peppermint, (he had a large arsenal of plant scents in the back of his mind!) when some very loud shouting started interrupting his process of peace. He tried to bury his already submerged face into the bristly softness that was this yellow patch of unheard bliss, but that only seemed to make the noise into an uncomfortable murmur that vibrated in the back of his mind.

"Dew." he whined softly.

First, he found this lovely scent, which led him to this surprising yet comfortable golden land, and now all was being ruined by some cacophonous interruption. He decided that perhaps lounging in this bubble of lovely smells and feels was not worth the clamor being done to his tiny ears. His plans were not in harmony with nature, as he soon found: once Budew began to lift himself with his minute, shaking legs, a very unpleasant something knocked into his head!

"Budew!" the pokemon squeaked in the squeakiest voice possible. He was sent sprawling onto his back, caught by the grass he had grown to know so well. Now trapped on his behind, Budew kicked his stubs-for-legs, rocking weakly back and forth. "Dew!" he squeaked quietly before absent-mindedly releasing a golden powder amongst his kicking. The tiny spores clung to the air and sailed towards Slowpoke and Damion with the power to paralyze.

As soon as the Slowpoke got off him he felt so... Free.

Completely and utterly light. No, Damion was sure he was actually floating after that weight left him and it had been his natural instinct to immediately burst up and run. Thankfully whatever it was had evacuated his hair and he took a glance back (having managed to stumble quite a distance at the speed he was getting up at there was a slight distance at that point).

It was small. It was green BUT THAT WOULD TOTALLY MATCH HIS SCARF. However his eagerness had sort of forgotten why it seemed to be struggling on the floor; the stubby legs did not catch his eye and he merely commanded," Do something Sonic! Oh, just tackle again!"[/b]

However the Slowpoke didn't move. Nothing unusual he supposed as the pink pokemon just merely stood. It depressed him greatly; after all the progress they made earlier. He was sure he could have changed the ways...

"Come on move! Hurry up Sonic!"[/b] Damion yelled out somewhat, frustrated though pausing momentarily (only momentarily of course, it would be impossible for him to be still for much longer). This was too unnatural; after all, at least by then the Slowpoke would have tilted her head and would have done that terrible, empty stare. But no; the disturbing pokemon had not even gazed that longing gaze back at him or even blinked. Something was definitely wrong; the boy hadn't got the slightly perverted vibe from the Slowpoke which was frozen in its movements.

"Parily-... Pahrahlie... Paralyzation!"[/b] the boy finally managed to exclaim after several times, glancing back to the little green bud that seemed to be kicking its stubby legs around,"You dastardly fiend!"

It seemed he was able to pronounce 'dastardly fiend' fine though (or that more had to do with a healthy diet of traditional Saturday morning cartoon villains). Well, Sonic was out for the count; after all, it could barely move even without that paralysis. So what did he do now?

Only one thing he could try. As cliched as it sounded he immediately took to the option, shuffling around in the trainer pack he had been given earlier for... Where was it... What was all the useless crap he had been given? Damion now suddenly felt as if the messenger bad had become far heavier whilst drowned all sorts of silly things like a map (what the hell did he need a map for? The blonde was going to carve his way across the region without that silly thing), first aid kit (come on, no one would be able to injure him!) but finally...

"Ahah!"[/b] Damion finally cried out, thrusting the pokeball into the air triumphantly after withdrawing it from his backpack,"I'll try catching it!"[/b]

He had never thrown a pokeball before. That was his excuse for nearly tripping over as he pelted it rather clumsily.

As Budew laid there, helplessly kicking his scrawny legs and squeezing his eyes shut, plunging himself in darkness, he heard that very loud noise from before. It seemed to mean something; Budew wasn't sure, he had never heard something speak, aside from his own self. It was true--despite living in a field quite close to human civilization, Budew had managed to avoid all contact and had grown into very much a solitary, independent creature. All this sudden company was quite confusing, and its insistence of being there made it all the more overwhelming.

Furthermore, Budew really just wanted to get back on his feet. It wasn't often he was so distressed that he happened upon his back and couldn't get himself up again.

"De-?" he meeped, confused and quite shocked when a something knocked against him. The world suddenly turned a shade of red, and he was sucked into the pokeball! It was rather nice and quiet in there, so Budew decided to stay.

Dawn was left on her own in Pallet Town by some stranger she had asked to fly her in. After all, where better to start than at the beginning? And there was also the added bonus of having heard that Damion had been spotted around here-she just had to find him! After all, weren't they best friends?!

"So, Piplup, where do you possibly think that idiot could be hiding?" she asked her pokemon, releasing him from the pokeball so he could stretch his legs. She hadn't nicknamed him yet, as in her opinion, you needed to get to know someone before you named them. As they had barely got acquainted, she didn't think she was ready to give it a nickname yet. So he had stayed as Piplup.

The two of them glanced about the peaceful little town, looking for places where the aforementioned boy could be hiding, as if he'd simply spring up from behind a bush (which wouldn't truly surprise her), as if sensing he was being talked about.

"He wouldn't stick about in a town this...peaceful, now, would he...?" she mused, starting off from the center of the small town, and looking around quickly. "And he couldn't possibly have gone South, because he probably can't surf. Which means the only other possible way he could have gone is North. So hurry, Piplup, he moves like a forest fire! We gotta catch up to him!" she exclaimed, and recalled the small water-type, and sprinted up towards the top of the town, towards what seemed to be the beginning of some type of field.

Rushing through the grass, she was lucky enough not to collide with any wild pokemon, but something else did collide with her eyesight, and it was the unmistakable blond shade of a certain young trainers flamboyant hair.

"DAAAAMIIIIOOON!" she called out, and rushed at the trainer, who seemed to be half stood on his feet, with a pokeball near his feet and something pink closeby.

This... This Was the happiest moment of Damion's life.

His expression was filled with pure euphoria as he glanced at the pokeball. It was a magical moment in his life. Truly splendiferous. He wanted to cry with happiness as he saw it remain still.

"This... Is the bestest day ever," Damion whispered, keeping back a joyous tear back after he forgot about the momentary molestation that had occurred earlier. One might suppose it would be better that he had forgotten otherwise he would be crying from anything but happiness.

The blonde was about to pick up the pokeball and perhaps do a little celebratory dance with it. Quickly he was distracted by a call though. Someone... Knew his name?

The boy blinked with surprise and confusion, spinning around to greet this new voice. Well there was a girl running towards him it appeared and...

"Wh-who're you!?"[/b]

Damion yelled the words out, thrusting an objection-like gesture in her general direction. Well, that was the first thing to get out of the way though. He didn't think he recognized her... I mean, he'd recognize a skirt that short. We-well he wasn't perverted or anything! He liked short skirts!

Mentally phrasing it like that wasn't helping him; it either made him out to be a philanderer or cross-dresser. He liked them because they were easy to run in! Not that he'd had experience. Nope.

"And how do you know my name!?"[/b]

Slowpoke just stood by his side though, forgotten by the angered trainer.

This was meant to be a happy moment for her, but it was not to be, as she soon found out. She ran past the pink thing, which resembled some sort of pokemon (oh what was it's name again?), and straight at Damion, whose outstretched hand was pointing straight at her mid-chest area.

She was just about to collide with him when his words sank into her understanding. What did he mean who was she?! Didn't...didn't he recognise her?

But by that time it was too late to stop the momentum of her running feet, and she fully collided with him in what would've been a massive hug, had his words not shocked her so much, and frozen her arms stiffly outwards. Not to mention he still had his own arm outstretched. This meant the collision resulted in what simply was quite a painful crash.

This brought both of them toppling to the ground, next to the pink pokemon, in some sort of tangled mass.

"What do you mean, who am I, Damion? Don't you recognise me? I'm...I'm Dawn! Don't...Don't tell me you don't recognise me!" she cried as they hit the ground, without realising they had toppled over.

Okay, so she hadn't expected too much from Damion, but she'd hoped he'd at least recognise her. After all, hadn't they been best friends when they were younger, back in Twinleaf Town? Hadn't they shared some of the best (or worst, depending on how you looked at it) moments together, always getting in the way of other people, and spending most of their free time together?

Truly, she was disappointed. She blew a leaf out of her face irritably, before trying to get her bearings, and realizing she had sent them both crashing to the ground with her totally unappreciated exuberant welcome. And now...she wasn't too sure what it was she was seeing, but was pretty sure it was the mass that was his flyaway hair just in front of her face.

Damion was forced on the ground for the second time that day.

Seriously. What was people's (or pokemon's in the earlier case) problem with staying upright? His brain had panicked as soon as the girl had started approached himself and colliding with the ground was not entirely pleasant. Scratch that; it was awful. At least there wasn't a heavy, pink, deranged abomination against nature on his chest. Instead there was a heavy, pink, deranged girl clinging to him. The ground was far more painful then before though; Damion was pretty sure the world went black momentarily.

"Wha-what are you doing?!"[/b] Damion could only exclaim, though Dawn did ring a few bells in his head. Dawn... Well, it was a familiar name.

It was the name of what happened in the morning. Of course it was going to be familiar his mind mentally barraged him. The immature, rushed one at least; the intellectual part was always silent apart from the odd biting and witty comment that hurt Damion inside.

He wanted to continue and complain. Complain that the world was still black too. However, a vague idea seated itself in the back of his mind. What happened if the world hadn't gone monochrome but rather... It was something else there? After all, he hadn't recalled anything particularly black apart from Dawn's top and...

His mind rapidly begun to piece together the clues. They had collided, Dawn was positioned somewhere and...

Ah. It was clear now. Damion's brain had been very quick at placing that together and he took a mental break to observe Dawn's chest with a delightfully intellectual,” Abuh?”[/b]

Nononononono the rushed part of his brain tried to recover, this is not time to realize you are male and she is a girl! Of course, the fore-mentioned silent, intellectual part of his brain had broken its pact of silence and was now laughing.

“Ge-get your chest out of my face!”[/b] Damion cried out, finally realizing that he should not be observing,” Or... Or I'll fine you!”[/b]

"Slllooow..."[/b]

He heard the chant of the pink pokemon and suddenly realized it was still there. Unbeknownst to him, despite its paralysis, the Slowpoke was observing the events with the same, hollow blank stare.

Dawn realised, possibly slightly too late that she was in fact lying on top of Damion, and that she did in fact have a faceful of his hair in front of her. This meant she was in a slightly precarious position, and not to mention indecent.

His question was slightly out of place though.

"What do you mean, what am I doing? Isn't it obvious? This was, like, meant to be a hug from one long-lost friend to another! But you obviously haven't changed much, and neither has the walnut that is your brain and it's capacity, and you seem to have forgotten me through the years, which is very disappointing, Damion. I really was expecting a little bit more from you." Dawn chastized him slightly, before trying to remove herself from him. Aw, this would take absolute ages to explain to him, and he would still probably hate her for a while for rugby-tackling him into the ground like she had. Well, what was a small squabble among friends, after all, right? They were still friends, right?

"It's, like, not my fault my chest is now in your face! You should've recognised me and run! Like you often did after long times of not seeing each oter..." She muttered the last.

"And don't you dare even think of trying to fine me for anything, Jun, because you know what would happen if you tried! Or at least, you would, had you remembered me..." she sighed, calling him by his proper, formal name. She only did that when she was really annoyed with him.

There really was no decent way of getting up. There was very little choice of how to do this decently. She could either push herself off' him (which was definitely a bad idea- not only would he try suing her for the extra contact, but he would also get the full view of her chest area), or she could roll off' him, which would be very...wrong. So she really was in a slight dilema. How could she carry this out...nicely?

"Um...Damion? How?" she asked, as if hooing that a miracle might occurr and his brain might kick-start and think of something useful.

Damion's brain was doing the exact opposite of kick-starting.

Rather it was reversing blindly, getting rather flustered over the terrible position. The longer he stayed in it the more it got to him and well... They were noticeable. No, don't focus on that. Don't focus on that area at all. He needed to think, think. Not concentrate on the chest. Think.

She called him by his middle-name. That distracted him well enough and he began paying attention, or at least try to.

"I should fine you!"[/b] he called out irritated, taking his mind off the things that weren't even there. Nope. Their existence was non-existent," I me-mean I don't know you! I swear I don't..."[/b]

Okay, think. Thinkthinkthink. How to get her off him. He had never been told how to deal with any thing like this. And couldn't she get off? Just leap away, push off, anything to get the thoughts out of his mind. Vanquish them and destroy their impurities. He didn't need to think about things like that...

"Sllooowww..."[/b]

Oh that Slowpoke. He was sure it was enjoying watching the act. That pink abomination was lapping it all up, he was sure of it! Watching this all with that gleeful perversity; seriously, he was going to... Return it or something he got back up. The water type however was content on drawing out the word with sickening joy and he felt the desire to shudder. Damion couldn't shudder though; he was freakin' nervous due to the crazed girl on him. What, nervous? He was definitely not nervous. At all. He was never ever nervous. Never ever ever. Why would he be nervous? Pfft, nervous. The idea was stupid.

"Just get offa me!"[/b] he yelled out uselessly once more, orange eyes flickering back and then wincing shut. Nonono," Jeez, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to recall this weight anyway!"[/b]

Okay maybe that was a little mean but Damion was having difficulty at that moment and his courteous manners, which were blatantly undeveloped anyway, were completely thrown away. No. He should politely, gentlemanly and awesome. Calm. And think! Those words were italicized for a reason!

"Butbut... But... I can't think of ideas breaster then--"[/b]

He had been trying to be sophisticated. Trying so hard. Yet the Freudian slip, he supposed what it was, had attacked viciously and immediately his mind had halted along with his speech. No. His orange eyes flickered open with panic and then they were greeted with... Oh...

"I-... I can't take it!"[/b] Damion finally cried out, his brain practically shutting down," Get off me!"[/b]

The adolescent finally lost his little patience, seeing no option but attempt to push the girl off. It was violent and perhaps he didn't realize this but he had run out of ideas. Well, he hadn't thought of any ideas but the situation had become dire.

Dawn was totally shocked by Damion. He had never insulted her that badly before in a totally serious mood. He had fully disowned her, and on top of that, insulted her. He didn't know her. HE didn't know HER. And he had basically insinuated she was fat. Ohh, had he dug his grave now. Oh, hell would be set loose now.

And then the next thing he said...that was below the belt. And since when did he even pay any attention to those sorts of things? Since when was he an actual GUY? Ohh, he'd changed, and she wasn't sure if it was for the better or not.

Then he yelled and threw her away from himself so forcefully, that she was practically thrown away. She landed heavily on her back, winded, and hit her head against something hard. Not too hard, but enough to be dazed for a few seconds. Well, this meeting had turned out brilliantly, hadn't it just?

"Ow." was the first thing she said. Then slowly she sat up, and looked at the flattened Damion. "So you don't know me then, eh, Damion? You sure don't recognise me..." she said, shockingly calmly, and to use the cliche, just like the sea before the storm.

"You truly don't recognise your best friend from Twinleaf. Alright, that's fine. That's fine by me. But don't you dare, don't you dare insult me you worthless...ARGH!"

And then she almost seemed to explode. She stood up abruptly, and walked over to Damion, and pulled him up by his shirt. Then pulling her arm back, she slapped him round the head twice, and let him go again.

"Perhaps that will clear your mind a little before you open your stupid blond mouth again...you know, that's exactly how I greeted you the first time we met. You're still a prat now." she glared at him.

God he was annoying. She'd so forgotten that.

Okay maybe he shouldn't have done that.

Of course Damion shouldn't have. Her fall to the ground clearly extracted distress from him. He... Hadn't meant to push that hard. It was just the stress in that situation. She just didn't realize...!

Dawn managed to get up though. That meant she was okay, right? She was fast at getting up too. That meant good things? And being speedy would heal her! She seemed calm about it. The blonde was free again too. That was the best part of it he supposed; the fact no one was near him, he wasn't be forced against the ground and his vision wasn't clouded with brea--... Black. Black. Perhaps that was a selfish but...

The raising voice panicked him though suddenly. His father, when he was at home, had once attempted to teach him many life lessons. This lessons mostly involved gambling, attempts at pokemon or rather just recitals of his father's awesome. There was one time, however, that his father one day gravely recited to him 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' whilst sporting a rather fetching red mark across his cheek. Damion was immediately beginning to understand that memory. The girl exploded and her grip had found a way almost rapidly on his shirt. If it was not such a hellish situation he would have been ultimately proud of the speed the girl managed to advance at. The slaps, however, were something else.

So he wasn't completely unused to being slapped he would admit. Yet hers was practically ferocious and man it stung. Killed him practically though... The familiarity.

“Da-... Dawn?”[/b] he repeated the name that was said earlier. Oh God no. Were those slaps some sort of flashback induces? Was it... No, probably wasn't. Actually he remembered her Damion supposed; he just really didn't want to mention now in case of spurring on the violence. Actually, maybe it would be a solution? It would help? The blonde had no clue. Despite the pain resonating from the slaps he still recognized the insults, wincing up slightly although there was a glare in his orange eyes.

“He-hey!”[/b] he almost yelled, irritation filling his voice,” I'm not a prat! Nor am I stupid Dawn!”[/b]

Okay, so the girl's pig-headedness definitely struck a memory chord then. He snorted however, rubbing his injuries,” Plus a slap? I'd recognize that girly slap from anywhere. Why did you slap? Pfft, real men punch!”[/b]

To emphasize that statement he clenched his other hand into a fist,” I mean, did you have to relive the first time...”[/b]

Dawn kept glaring at him. Oh, so now he remembered. Did violence always make his memory come back? If so, that was a useful bit of information for the future. Who knew when else she might have to... jog his memory a bit, eh?

"Oh, so that's the only way to get you to remember, is it? By slapping you round the head? Seems you haven't changed one bit. I slapped you round the head twice that time too." she grinned suddenly then, almost alarminlgy changing moods.

"And don't try saying that slap didn't hurt-you're glowing red as if you'd just been embered! Or worse...just met someone in the most inappropriate way possible. And you are stupid. And still totally immature. And as you have just pointed out, men punch. There's nothing in that sentence that says a girl can't slap. And that was a damn good slap too. You've taken enough of them to become immune, and yet it still affected you. But I sure can punch, if you prefer." she laughed at that, balling up one fist and mock-swiping him.

Ah, Damion was still the same old self then, just as big an immature prat as ever. This was terribly similar to their first meeting, yet the other way around; it was Dawn who had been in the fields that day, and Damion had, shall we say, run into her. He had certainly been rushing somewhere, and probably hadn't been looking where he was going. So he had pelted into her from round some bush or other, and not having time or space enough to stop, had crashed into her and sent them both sprawling. And it had been her who had gotten crushed by him, pinned down by his greater form than hers. But that had ended quickly. She wasn't one to let herself be crushed like that by someone that much bigger than herself.

She had pushed him up a bit (not strong enough to actually push him off), slapped him twice just like now, and possibly elbowed him in the ribs too, then gave him a good telling off for running into a girl like that. She couldn't remember how he had gotten off, but he sure had, and quickly too. They hadn't got off ot a good start~ but somehow, they had become best friends. Perhaps this boded well-after all, if they had gotten on well together last time, maybe they could now too.

"No, I didn't have to relive anything, but it's good you recognise me now. I've missed you." she finished, pulling him into a slightly more genlte hug, and more controllable.
